And Portland could be a good landing spot for MKG, actually--they're not as far away from competing as other high lottery teams and I think MKG would prefer not having to be on a sucky team to start his career.
 
Everyone in the league would know that Batum would be less likely to be retained if the Blazers get him. Unless of course, the Blazers sign and trade (or trade his agency rights if you can do that) Batum as part of a trade to move up.
 
Completely irrelevant towards this thread (like 90% of the stuff in here), but it's being reported that Rodney Hood is down to Duke and OSU. Please let it be Duke, please.

Hadn't seen that. Had heard Duke and UL but it's been a while.

Basically. I hope he learns how to take it to the rim. He is a great mid range shooter, but he almost never gets to the rim or to the foul line. He is a pretty good defender and is a smart all around player. I can only recall a handful of dunks from him last year though.
 
I've been making calls non-stop. Not hearing anything of much interest. I'm heading to Orlando in a couple days and hope to get something from those meetings.
If anyone knows who WWW is (I know Cy does .. sigh..), he's the most likely to share some stuff with me while there.

It is. I've known Wes for years (probably 5'ish). I'll explain how I know him shortly (no time now). But it all started in New Jersey and long before there was ever a 'UK connection.'
