By the way, was just told that SAC tried to trade their #5 this year and Tyreke for Rondo. That makes me respect KOC even more .. as I doubt he throws out trade ideas like a message board.

Yep, unless the Jazz offer Favors we are not getting Rondo.

Hahaha, It's been too hot. I heard it's finally cooled the past couple days but now I'm outta town. I have a place to go check out in Parowan that I may hit up when I return.
 
PKM - is Terrence Jones a good(ish) kid? He's talented as all hell - considering where he's slotted to be drafted, he could be the steal of 2012 if he has his head on straight. But I can't shake his bizarre recruitment (the UW commitment fiasco) and the issues he had with Coach Cal his freshman year.

Should people read much into that? I know the media sort of painted him as the "leader" of the 'Cats this year with the freshman-heavy lineup, but I never really bought into it. Just watching them it felt like Davis and Kidd-Gilchrist were stone-cold killers and the leaders of that team. Lamb and Miller seemed more like the consummate veterans to me.
 
Jones is a great kid. He pouted too much (got down on himself) his freshman year but matured greatly during his soph year. The recruitment is nothing to worry about. He told Calipari he was announcing for UK prior to the press conference and Cal was stunned when Terrence announced for U-dub. Terrence was always sold on UK/Calipari, but ALL of his freinds wanted him to stay home (including Terrence Ross his best friend, high school teammate, and UW commit). He said he just went blank looking at all his friends and family in attendance and picked up the UW cap. He immediately(within minutes) called Cal and said he made a mistake and asked if he was still welcome. Just an 18 year old kid with a big decision and a lot of external forces.

He's a good kid. His question marks are over-blown. Cal did a GREAT job with him when, last year, he yelled at him and called him a selfish mother ****** and sat him down. He responded the way you'd hope.

EDIT: No. He was never a leader for the team. That was MKG, period.

I saw that too. I feel like I should get back on that bandwagon.
