What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

I got done with what I needed to tonight, and instead of torturing myself with alcohol and very attractive young women, decided to check up on the lottery results, only to lose my mind with rage. Come to find out, getting hammered and torturing myself talking to females that I would and probably could split in half was pretty close to the answer, except the whole torture part.

I hate alcohol, almost as much as our innate nature to always look for greener pastures.

It's almost dawn. Gaaahhhhhhhh what is wrong with everything.

I'm fine. **** you. Seacrest out.

When you are drumming, imagine the drums are Mark Jackson's face.

I'd rep you if I could. Gracias mi amigo. Tu culo es muy grande, porque NAOS le gusta tu culo.

FWIW, I would take Miles Plumlee over Kyle O'Quinn.

/Awaits mass rage.

Is he expected to get drafted? I would love to have him on our Summer League team and possibly on the final roster. He is a 7' tall athlete who can rebound like a beast at the very least.

I agree, Hant.

He's not very offensively skilled, but the dude can rebound, play defense, is strong and can jump high. He's not exactly what I would call a quick leaper (which is infinitely more important than overall vertical), but he can jump very well for his size. He's going to test out great. As a guy just simply coming off the bench to rebound and play defense, you're not going to find too many better players in this draft IMO.

He's on par, loosely, with Zeller/Henson .. and much 'cheaper.'

So he is expected to get drafted for sure?

Strongly, strongly disagree. Zeller doesn't have his strength, but is much more offensively skilled. I would say something like this.

Offense: Zeller >>> Miles Plumlee
Defense: Plumlee > Zeller

I don't like Henson at all as an NBA prospect, so I won't argue that. He can't gain weight and still can't shoot IMO. A homeless man's Tyrus Thomas.

Miller just screams really weak tweener to me. I'm almost positive he will be a bust, but he is so damn good on the high post.

Damn. You know his wingspan or standing reach? He could have a ridiculous max reach if he has any kind of substantial standing reach.

I want to say he's measured out at 6'11.5 with a 7'0 wingspan before, but I'm not positive. Clearly he doesn't have a crazy wingspan for his height, but it's not bad by any means.

Honestly, watching that video gave me more hope for him. All of his weaknesses are things that can be overcome with training.

My biggest concern is still motor. He certainly is worth the risk at any point after the late teens.
