Following potential 2012 draftees

I looked at two mocks that were updated today. one had Jazz drafting

Henry Sims PF/C
22 years old; 7'0"; 241 lbs.
Georgetown, Senior
said he is a good passer out of the high post.

The other has Jazz drafting
Kevin Jones PF
22 years old; 6'7"; 251 lbs.
West Virginia, Senior

I don't know anything about Jones.

Only 9 more days......

Sounds like a solid draft more bigs to put into our rotation. Come on.

Sigh. If only this years draft was the one where we had two picks in the top 10...

If we had #3 this year, we'd take who---Beal/Drummond/MKG?

And if we had #12, we'd take--Marshall, MIller, Rivers, T.Jones ?

Is Drummond/Rivers or Beal/T.Jones really better than Kanter/Burks ?

Could be.

I think Sims is a really intriguing player.

(as long as Big Roadblock is the **** out of the way, which you might as well just stick at the end of every post I make)

Kanter > Drummond

Burks = < rivers

So kanter burks better by a little

Beal > burks

Kanter > t jones

This is harder because you can't compare like players. I think if kanter and burks where in this draft kanter top 5 pick burks late teens.

Ok pkm what is up with Darius miller. For a while there he was being mentioned as a late first and now I don't even see him mentioned. I am not complaining as I would give my left nut to draft him at 47 (not going to happen). It would make it easier to move up a few spots to draft though. So what is going on?

What are you referring to? I'm still hearing the Spurs love him as well as most folk think he'll go in the 30's.

Nothing interesting here, but a good, well connected friend, just told me that as it sits right now;

1) Davis
2) Robinson
3) MKG
4) Beal (this I found a bit surprising)
5) Drummond

Incidentally, this guy said there are a few teams that REALLY get the draft process (didn't say who, but you guys could probably figure it out). He said most teams hand-wring over what pick they get and who will be available, but there are a few that just don't care. They completely ignore the draft order and simply decide who they want and go about getting that person. Doesn't always work, obviously, but a great 'winner' mentality.

Not sure how realistic, or even true, that is .. but love the attitude/approach.

I figured Barnes was going to Cavs @4. Didn't he pull out of a Sac. workout?

I am ready to derail things here. The more I read up on Orlando Johnson the more that I like him. He will be a mid 2nd round pick. Too bad he also plays SG like Burks and Hayward. Just wanted to get that out there.

Rumours from GS, they may not move #7 but I expect them to be movers on draft day.

Tim Kawakami: Source: What about Terrence Jones or Perry Jones III? GSWs considered them initially, but neither impressed in last week's workout

Tim Kawakami: If no "first-tier" wing drop to 7, NBA source says it sounds like GSWs are ready to take a big man with the pick. Possibly Tyler Zeller

Tim Kawakami: NBA sources indicate the Warriors aren't likely to make a trade involving #7--there's just not a worthwhile deal out there at this point.

No surprise: The medical red flag on Jared Sulllinger means GSWs are not considering him for #7 pick. They weren't that high on him anyway.

Wah waaaaaaaahhhhh...

Poor "Warriors".

If I'm the "Warriors" I call KOC and trade #7 for the rights to my draft pick back. TYLER ZELLER??? Sad stuff.

Read that Sullinger will fall to Boston.

Boston with Royce White and Sullinger is not a bad draft.

With Rondo running the Celtics and these two possible editions would still be a playoff team. Not contenders by any means but they would certainly make the playoffs.

DraftExpress New Orleans trades Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza to Washington for Rashard Lewis and the #46 pick. (damn you auto-correct)

Very interesting. Yes, this is very Jazz related.
