Following potential 2013 draftees

Can Wolter's physically make it in the NBA?

I think so. It would look something like this (below). My question is whether he can play at NBA speed, but the basics are there. For the record, I would take Marcus Smart, Trey Burke and CJ McCollum ahead of him, but once it gets into the BJ Young and Myck Kabongo area, it gets blurry for me, and I could probably live with this guy too.

Yes. This.

Damian Lillard shot 43% from the field, had 2.9 assists to 2.3 TO's in a horrible conference his freshman year. Now he is a natural PG who is going to be the Rookie of the Year in the NBA.

Exactly. My point is that just because Smart doesn't have amazing PG numbers, doesn't mean he isn't a PG. Wasn't meant to diss Wolters.

I just love the idea that because for the first time that I can think of, a 4-year player out of a tiny school is really good that that is now the rule and not the exception. Especially since just one year before there was a complete sensation playing at a bigger but still low-key school that has been an unequivocal flop.

Let me clarify, Lillard was the exception. Furthermore, he could play with some speed. I didn't see that in Wolters. He might be an NBA player, but to say he's Damian Lillard is just plain silly.

Also what's to stop Orlando from going for Noel or McLemore if they're available? Dominating center & a lethal wing scorers are always in demand.

Then who's gonna take Smart I wonder?

free fall...........

I will be SHOCKED if Smart goes before Noel or 'Bazz .. and slightly shocked if he goes before McLemore or Porter.

ok let's just say that some one slides and the jazz draft the BPA at 14 and it is not a pg say wcs or oladipo or something. then with the gsp they want to get the next best pg who do you take?

bongo
wolters
young
mccallum
McCullum
brown
Canaan

I think mine goes

McCullum
wolters
bongo
young
brown
McCallum
canaan

(sorry ugli but I would put wolters above bongo)

McCollum by a mile.

Wolters only slightly ahead of Bongo .. or even dead even.

BJ

No one else.

PKM, how does this pg draft class stack up to the pg draft class where we drafted Maynor a few years back?

Imo opinion ... weaker, by a decent margin.

Did someone compare him to Lillard??

I don't think anyone can say he's like Lillard, but for a #20ish pick, I can get you a deal on a 2013 Ford Calderon or Chevy Greivis, with chrome rims.

Michigan needs to not win this conference tournament and like a 2nd or 3rd round exit from the NCAA Tournament for the Jazz to get Trey Burke at #14.

serious question about Olynyk... If the jazz draft him will he have to cut his hair or how does he keep it back because it looks like he has a headband holding it back and the Jazz dont allow them?

Ponytail?
Braid?
let it flop like scola?

Scola wears something that keeps it back. It's like a really small band that is the same color as the hair. All the long haired white players wear them if they dont wear headbands.

i like michigan but i agree. What i will do is put michigan in the final four of my bracket that guarantees a 2nd or 3rd round exit.

I want Michigan to succeed as much as anybody, but sadly if they get to the Final Four the Jazz aren't going to get Burke.
