Following potential 2013 draftees

I think my Big Board would go something like this:

1 Noel
2 Smart
3 McLemore
4 Porter
5 Bennett (he's got some bust potential)
6 Shabazz
7 Burke
8 McCollum
9 Adetokunbo
10 Olynyk
11 Norvel Pelle (but he needs to be awesome in workouts)
12 Oladipo
13 Archie Goodwin (I still believe)
14 Saric
15 Carter-Williams
16 Dieng
17 Blah blah Zeller blah
18 Isaiah Austin
19 Karasev
20 Withey
21 McGary or maybe GRIII (not sure)

Hopefully this is not how the draft goes...... basically I don't really want any of those guys that will be available where the jazz pick.
Im with sandy... point guard is all I really want (unless we can get porter or oladipo somehow) burke or McCollum (I kinda want him more than burke) needs to happen.
No to MCW

Now if the jazz could get Teague or Bledsoe then that would work as well.
The draft comes before free agency correct?..... if so, then that's too bad.

What does Goodwin bring to the table that Burks doesn't?

Burks is bigger, a better shooter, a better driver, and just overall a better player.

I guess Goodwin may be more explosive, but their margin of difference isn't that much.

Saric has already announced he isn't entering the draft.

Plus he sucks.

If we end up with the 17 th and 21st picks. That puts us in Bongo range, and the others are taken. In this senario I see no way the jazz don't draft him as they need a pg. To me he is intriguing as he might have the most pure pg talent. What scares me is that since he has been with Texas they haven't been very good at all.

For those who are the collage guru's..... Is that his fault, or is there just no talent on Texas? What I'm getting at is Marshall, a pure pg raised the level of play for NC to elite level, where as Texas with Bongo didn't seem to do much at all.

For the record I'd still rather get Wolters or Canaan in the second if possible. With that said if we miss the playoffs, I would jump at the chance to pick CJ then hope the Greek Freak lands at the GS pick, then still draft Wolters or Canaan.

******Warning, this is serious post.******

Look, I hear what you are tyring to say but let's look at a few things.

#1, the kid is still a teenager! I don't know how old you are Cy but I am sure that you were a bit a of a douche when you were that age and I'm sure there were plenty of people that wondered if you would ever get "it". I know people thought the same thing about me.

#2, he only played one year under the best college coach of all time. Yes, I am exaggerating here about Coach Cal but still, the kid only got one year of college ball.

#3, his abilities. He has shown some amazing flashes during that one year of college ball. Yes, he also showed some head scratching moments but his athletic abilities cannot be taught. I think that he is worth a look with the GS pick depending on who is still on the board at that point.

******You will now return to some not serious posts from orangello*****

I didn't say we should draft him just that he is worth a look with the GS pick depending on who is available at that point.

Guys, I'm not saying we should draft everybody that is eligible for the draft, but I think that everyone is worth taking a look at.

Oladipo has turned into my biggest (semi-realistic) draft-day crush. We ****ing NEED an all-out high-motor stopper on the perimeter. His lane-burning ability is also crush worthy.

My thoughts:

We should look at everyone that might be good. We won't fully understand if they are good though until we look at them, so we should look at all of them.

He is going top-10 guaranteed. Not seeing how that is realistic unless you think the Jazz are trading up, which realistically, if they trade up for anyone, it would probably be a PG or Porter.
