I still like Pierre Jackson in the 2nd round.
Tell that to Kyrie Irving.
I don't really know where your statement is coming from at all. Duke just doesn't tend to recruit or get players who are considered to be 1 and done pro prospects. They usually get college players (white people who can shoot).

That isn't true. They are one of several schools that tend to hold onto players that are projected lottery picks. Along with Baylor, UNC, Florida, Louisville, Kansas..
There's a reason why scouts say they like to see kids go to Kentucky... they say that Cal's system allows them to better gauge the kids' strengths and weaknesses.. and Cal uses that in his recruiting pitch. He says if you suck at something I can't hide it.. but if you're incredible at something.. you'll be able to showcase it early and often. It's a more pro-style system.
They hold onto players because they recruit players that actually want to stay in college for a while.
Nothing negative just Duke runs a very team offense it doesnt showcase individual abilities. Irving hardly played so he doesnt count he was draft mostly on what he did before.

Hahahahaaha..
********. Nobody thought Irving was going to be that good until he showed what he could do at Duke. There's a reason K changed their offense so a true freshman could lead it. That doesn't happen often. You can say it doesn't showcase individual abilities, but Nolan Smith, Irving and JJ Redick would disagree with you. Those are just a couple examples btw.
Nah, Irving was drafted because he put up crazy numbers with Duke. Before the college season started he was projected as the 10th pick overall, so he wasn't hyped up as being the #1 pick pre-College.
It's true. Lets not pretend guys like Bledsoe or Cousins cared about school. Those types of guys want to go to a place where they aren't required to do much except play basketball.
Irving was ranked the #1 player coming into college... you guys are hilarious.
Just saying were he was projected by DX coming into the college season. There are other players who get drafted that aren't incoming freshman. I guess living in that UK bubble has damaged that part of your memory.

Bledsoe is taking classes to get his degree.
I am going to destroy you on this... I am as ready as a Mormon missionary.
#1 player does not equal #1 draft pick. You should know that PKM. Also, just for facts sake, he was the #2 player on Scout, #3 on ESPN, and #4 on Rivals. I believe everybody had Harrison Barnes as #1. Most people thought Irving and Brandon Knight were very similar. They were wrong.
If Bledsoe can actually get a degree at Kentucky, I think that says how much of an "academic" institution they really are.
I'm laughing at the notion that Irving was some unknown but shot onto the scene when coached by K... lol
(and I'm in a bubble?)
