Following potential 2013 draftees

Damn.. I'm still stunned..

Oladipo is not that great.. his size is average, below average shot, nice defense, sure.. motor, yeah.. we'll see if those latter two makes him better than Burks.. much less Schro/Karasev/Burks.

Both picks and a member of our C4 for an average player of a position we don't need??

Someone mentioned that to me this morning and I was stunned so I thought I would pose that question to the rest of you.

I personally feel like you can get players that can help you win at both 14 and 17.

Here is what I am referring to:

Nuno Sá ‏@nsanba 2h
Victor Oladipo is a player worth moving up for. Would consider trading Burks and both picks this year to draft him. #jazzdraft13

Benjamin Smith ‏@Benjiman31 1h
@nsanba I completely disagree. No one in this draft is worth moving up for. The Jazz need talent, so keep all picks and draft BPA.

Nuno Sá ‏@nsanba 1h
. @Benjiman31 If the Jazz keep all three picks. They will have 9 players under contract bellow the age of what....24? They can't keep all.

Nuno Sá ‏@nsanba 1h
. @Benjiman31 I believe Oladipo has a chance to be special. Quite special. One whose game better translates to the NBA.

casey greer ‏@caseygreer2 1h
@nsanba @Benjiman31 his length and defense is a known, but not his offensive game. I wouldn't trade two picks and burks for a player who

casey greer ‏@caseygreer2 1h
@nsanba @Benjiman31 potential ranges from aminu to shawn marion

Nuno Sá ‏@nsanba 49m
@caseygreer2 @Benjiman31 If he's at the range of #7 to #10 I wouldn't offer as much either. But he's top 3 then Burks and 2 picks is needed

Nuno Sá ‏@nsanba 45m
@caseygreer2 @Benjiman31 I actually see him as more of a Dwyane Wade type.He won't score as much as Wade but his outside shot is good enough

Nuno Sá ‏@nsanba 44m
@caseygreer2 @Benjiman31 to make ppl respect it and w/ the rules of today how is anyone going to stop him from driving in the NBA???

Benjamin Smith ‏@Benjiman31 8m
@nsanba @caseygreer2 Remember that the NBA is a big step up from college. His athleticism won't get him nearly as many buckets in the NBA.

Nuno Sá ‏@nsanba 6m
@Benjiman31 @caseygreer2 Au contraire He will get more cause he won't b facing zones n he'll benefit from the no-touch-on-perimeter rule

See what I'm talking about?

Lemme check it out. Damn, it looks like they asked the dude three questions about Dennis specifically. Very direct too. Ugh, I wish my German wasn't as rusty as it is :(

Ill give it a whirl though.

EDITAs far as I can tell, this game was a very resounding victory, despite the lack of play from Dennis.. Dennis Schröder then enviously, jealously, said "well, I would have loved to celebrate with my teammates on the court", but then mentioned "I enjoyed every minute, that our boys performed on the court.

Three questions on Coach Felbarakis regarding Dennis Schröder (!!!) (Help me Rev9 if I'm incorrect):

Q: Coach Flevarakis, why did you bench Dennis Schröder??

A: The other young players Lucas, Erik and Howard have earned their right to play today for once. They have worked hard all season long. I am so happy that they have played so hard, and showed that they could also have great futures. I wanted to give Dennis 6 minutes before the end of the game-- after all, the fans want to see him as well. But then he didn't want to play anymore.

I think I nailed this one translation. Coach's answer was very direct-- not very cryptic.

Q: Did he HAVE to sit out for so long, because he missed his practice? Was this some sort of punishment?

A: No. It was a reward for the others. Dennis, in his head, is somewhere between Germany and the USA. He was away for a week, and then afterwards he also didn't train together with us. The others, in contrast, have fought for our team, in a critical situation, that we have been placed in the past week. They were there with full hearts, and they stayed here-- whereas Dennis wants to leave, and seek his future elsewhere. Therefore, I wanted to be fair to the either players

Q: Do you trust him in the jump to the NBA? Do you have any concerns/interests? Other Basketball-league trainers have probably not given a 19 year old such a large role, and by that also (can't piece out the meaning of these last 6 words clearly) based his role on his performance

A: Yeah, one can definitely see that. But one needs to applaud the entire team. It was also not easy for the other players, for a 19 year old to take over the roles of the older, international, well-knowleged players. We have all helped him so much, to bring him to where he is now. And Dennis also gave a lot to this team as well. Now I, of-course, hope that he succeeds in the NBA. I truly wish him a lot of success.

The more I think about this, the more I think that Dallas is gonna swipe Schröder right before we do. They're gonna want to try and keep Dirk happy, and I'm sure he would be DELIGHTED to draft a great penetrating point guard who also happens to be German. Can you imagine Dirk and Dennis?

Ugh. I just hope KOC trades up to ensure that we pick either Schröder or Burke-- still very lukewarm on McCollum

What happened to that high potential European athletic PG who could penetrate that Dallas already has?

Beaubois was drafted purely on measurements and athleticism. He played in the French league, and was a great "risk" @ 25th pick. His season was derailed via hand surgery this year. Seems superficially similar to Schröder, but I think Schröders penetration game, and speed is far-superior. Hence, hell be getting drafted 10 spots lower-- and maybe even in the lottery.

As far as I know, Dallas is still hopeful with him. For whatever reason, Beaubois ****S on the Jazz consistently.

Stop making me depressed.

i have a few concerns about schoder.

DX has some videos of the world team practice and as far as shooting with dennis i am worried.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp9mJKx6RfA

1- when he gets the ball he brings it down to his knees before going for the shot. It takes time and makes his shot easier to block
2- He shoots from his forehead. This is a low release point. again making it easier to contest his shot.
3- He doesnt get a lot of lift on his shot. He shoots almost flat footed. again getting his shot off will be a problem

These to things tell me that he is going to have a hard time shooting in the NBA. Now these can be fixed but when you start to tinker with a guys shot it could all go to hell
