Following potential 2013 draftees

-Get that Mavs pick for the salary dump, then

Extend-and-trade Al for:
-(along with #14) Ben Gordon and #4 (Oladipo or Burke)
or
-Kendrick Perkins, #12, unprotected 2014 pick, another throw-in, then flip #12 and #13 to trade up (not necessarily for #4, but high enough to...)
-draft Oladipo or Burke
-draft Schroeder (or Adams [or Gobert if Adams is also already gone] if you've already drafted Burke)
-draft Giannis (or Bullock, Withey, Karasev, Larkin)
-COLLECT DRAFT TROPHY

Just had to get that out of my system.

High definition (watchable) footage of Giannis released. Highlights become very impressive at the end. Not sure you can pass on a player with his skills at 18 years old.

Right now all I can say is I'd take him over Schroeder and Larkin. Like Schroeder he is very unknown and I'm proven.

Nice. Burke over Oladipo for me please.

Larkin will bust? Hahahaha, thanks guys I really needed a good laugh after practice.

No one said he'll bust.

I don't mind having a short dude run point.. but it's rare it works out. His defense is below average and he doesn't finish well. He's a backup.

I don't have much faith that Larkin will be able to get to the rim in the NBA, or finish on the occasions he does. His highlight reels are nothing but jump shots. He may have an insane vertical, but it doesn't seem like he ever gets to actually use it in game from what I can tell.

Why? None of us know a damn thing about him..... A damn thing. Your inlove with a thought just like kkk is with Schroeder.

Let's not exaggerate. We know he has freakish length (and may not be done growing) and a very unique skillet for someone that size. Is he a bit of a mystery? Yes. But he also has considerable upside. At #14 I see nothing wrong with swinging for the fences. If the Jazz decided to take him, obviously that means they feel pretty confident he'll pan out which would increase my confidence that he would, as well.

Posted this in the Paul George Thread, but to avoid making the same mistake as we did with Hayward, we need to think about swinging for the fences and go on physical potential first and foremost. Then, fight, determination and willingness to improve. We've got to get guys that are physically going to be able to go toe to toe with the likes of Lebron, Durant, etc.

Guys in our range with these qualities seem to be:

- Schroeder (elite speed, quickness)

- MCW (great length, athleticism for PG)

- Adams (Legit 7 footer, lots of room to grow)

- Greek Freak (Bball wise not there yet, but great size, big hands, enormous wingspan)

- Gobert (need I say more?)

Gone are the days when you can settle for the likes of Kyle Korvers of the world (Karasev) or Jimmer (Wolters). We need to get guys with athleticism, size and speed. The basketball side of things will come if they're willing to improve.

Shane Larkin? 44-inch vert? Very fast?

We didn't make a mistake drafting Hayward.
We just didn't see the 2 inch growth spurt Paul George would go on to have in the NBA.
