Following potential 2013 draftees

I meant hurt your rep. It's weighty. Glad you're no longer suspicious of me though. It was entirely unwarranted.

It's cool bro.. rep is a man made construct. It's people that are living, breathing, living beings we have to care/worry about.

You take care of the people around you and eventually your reps/success/happiness/joy will take care of itself.

:)

Larkin re Jazz workout:

"We did a lot more shooting here at Utah than at other places"

"I shot decent, not as well as I wanted to, but I was getting tired at the end.. "

So if Jazz take a PG at #14 no matter who it may be does that signal the end of Mo Williams?
Mo will want a four year 25-30 mil type deal. Just speculating on the contract.
Whatever PG they take at #14 should be starter material after the 13-14 season.
Is Mo worth that kind of contract if they get a legit starting PG at #14 or even later at #21?
What would be everyone's guess on this?

Interesting workout in Las Vegas with CJ Aiken, Erik Murphy and Peyton Siva. Aiken seems to stand out with his range and length at the rim.

I think that decision is tied in with the decision to whether or not to start Favors & Kanter this next season.

Hiring Karl Malone to tutor them tells me that they're going "all in" with Favors & Kanter this next season. On that basis I think the strategy would be to "go young".

Mo Williams doesn't really figure into that strategy - so I think he's out.

I do believe the Jazz will sign Tinsley (or a similar vet PG) to start the season.. then bring along slowly Schroeder/MCW/Larkin with a view of starting them in late Jan/Feb/after All Stars. They'll probably sign a cheap 3rd string PG just to be safe.

I'd sign Mo to a 5 mil/yr deal for 2 yrs and tell him to see if he can get more somewhere else if he doesn't like it. No market for a guy like that in todays NBA.

No thanks if he's gonna keep jacking up shots on a fast break with nobody under the basket for rebounds.

As bad as Tinsley has been, he's always looking to feed the bigs for easy baskets, get our young guys going. Do you really want our future PG (Schroeder/MCW/Larkin) learning from Mo?

Does anyone else here hope that the number #21 player that we draft is one of the best players in the draft like a Kenneth Faried, Serge Ibaka, Roy Hibbert type late first round steal partially because it was the GSW pick? Like I hope we get a player better then Harrison Barnes was so we can say "suck it" to GSW for tanking.

I almost wish our #21 pick is better than our #14 pick. I said almost because be careful what you wish for. What if the #14 pick is a Jan Vesely/Yi Jianlian type bust :/ and our #21 only wins by default.

If 14 is Schroedner, then I hope our 21st pick sucks compared to 14th pick.

There are several players who could make this a reality---Giannis, Jamaal Franklin, Glen Rice Jr., even Nate Wolters.
