Following potential 2013 draftees

LeBryan Nash is going to be a late first-round pick if he declares in my opinion. Averaging 19.2 PPG in his last 5 games and on the brightside he is a 6'7, 230 lbs, SF and the Jazz do need a small forward. Would any of you object with going with Nash with the GSW if the Jazz get a point guard with their first pick?

He has great size and athleticism but lacks IQ. Have been watching him for 4 years and he hasn't improved in that time..

I think MCW could also be a good fit. He's a pass first PG, decent defender and he's long. His shot's not broken neither, and he seems like a fighter. He's also proven to be clutch in crunch time, something we still don't yet have.

Do you know the difference between "tall" and "long"? Players that have the same wingspan as their height are not what is considered long. Burke is as long as MCW if you're going by pure size, and if you're going by ratio, he's much longer.

Another example that drives me nuts; Hayward is not long. He's not even tall if he's playing as a 3. Burks however IS long.

I would rather take a flyer on Adetokunbo rather than Nash. BTW, I can't spell Adetokunbo without using copy/paste.

Adetokunbo is awfully skinny.

You know what, I am all in for Burke but if we get MCW too I wouldn't be disappointed.

All I'm saying is I can see MCW being able to challenge 3pt shooter in the NBA better than Burke. I guess "standing reach" would be the right term?

Yeah, I won't be either. I just get no "it" from him but am speaking largely from naivete.

As far as Adetokunbo, he's very young. And Kevin Durant hasn't keeled over and died yet.

Sure. But blocking jumpshooters is so far down the list of things you need from a player that it's basically only a tiebreaker (as trying to block jumpshots gets the other team to the line more than it blocks a shot).

Interestingly enough, height brings more of an advantage at the PG position than any other because it's the only position that universally carries a premium on seeing over the top of your matchup, in addition to being the easiest position to have a height advantage. At the same time, I don't consider being short much of a detriment.

Kevin Durant is a very special player, if Adetokunbo can just add a little weight it would help a lot. I am all for a Burke/MCW and Adetokunbo draft.

Kevin Durant is insanely special, but his penchant for putting the ball in the basket has no effect on his durability or ability to play at a base level which I assume is the concern with sleightness of frame.

I've always been on the Burke's bandwagon, but if Dallas takes him before us I won't be unhappy with MCW.MCW's getting 2.8 steals pg, compared to Burke's 1.6 BTW.

Dude's like barely 18, and he actually weighs 5 lbs more than Jeremy Evans did as a senior. (Scary, yes.)
He's got a complete game though he definitely needs to get stronger.

I think Burke is clearly a better PG prospect than MCW. Look at how in control this guy is and how he makes the right decisions. He looks like Chris Paul lite.

I guess so. This team needs a leader that plays with fire and wins with willpower, I haven't really seen that with MCW. But, sure.

My main concern with MCW is his turnover rate. It's 3.3 pg this year in approx. 34 min. Can he consistently bring the ball up consistently and not get the ball stolen? He struggled with bringing the ball up a couple of times in today's game, and once in the last 3 min. of the game I believe.

I guess ball handling in theory is fixable..

Here is another way of looking at it. MCW has an assist/turnover ratio of 2.36, quite reckless and arguably ineffective. Burke is at a very healthy 3.4
If Burke was allowed, or decided, to pass with as much carelessness of MCW, he would be averaging 11.2 assists per game. Not too bad eh?

I think the combination of Burke and Burks in the backcourt could be just electric.

I think we'll be lucky to get Burke at #13.
