Following potential 2013 draftees

Kids' lives..

So his life is ruined just because he isn't a top 3 pick. What if he got drafted by the ****ing Bobcats? The Kings? His career could effectively be ruined from that and his 2nd contract would be wack. What if next year he is drafted by the Jazz, for instance, and he becomes the PG of a talented team?

I don't actually think Smart has that much room to improve though.

He's already physically an NBA player. He passes OK. He beat up smaller guys. He's playing with pace and he has a high motor.

He really only needs to work on his shooting & handle to limit his TO's. I mean - he could do that in the offseason. It's not worth it risking injury & slipping in next year's loaded draft.

*Terrence

Because you 'don't see' it being deep??? How about you, like every other wannabe, wait for the gurus to tell you the players are that make the depth. Otherwise, please tell me about the HSrs you've watched and why you think they're not as good in the late round...

I believe in Smart.

Can't bank on that though. Get your money while you can IMO.

I can't even dignify that POS logic with a dignified response. You're smrter than that, I know.. I've seen pics.

Shooting is a pretty big thing. Even a marginal improvement would make him a much better player.

Him working on his body, getting his weight down a bit and increasing his mobility.

Him just learning how to be a better leader.

He has so much room to improve, I really have no idea what you are talking about.

The draft next year isn't that deep at all IMO. Yes, it has a lot of super stars, but I don't see it as a specially deep draft. I don't see Smart falling past late lottery. The guy will come out and be a better player. He isn't Terrance Jones.

All those guys who are returning this year or are expected to return to school: Alex Poythress, Brandon Ashley, Kaleb Tarczewski, P.J. Hairston, Rasheed Sulaimon, Vander Blue, Dwight Powell, Shane Larkin (possibly), Kyle Anderson, Branden Dawson, Jahii Carson, Spencer Dinwiddie, Andre Roberson, C.J. Fair, Chane Behanan, LeBryan Nash, this list goes on. Next years draft is going to be absolutely stacked!

... and u were doing so good. Stop. These takes are worse than terrible.

Well I guess we agree to disagree. I support him in the fact that I think he knows what is best for himself. If he doesn't feel like he is ready to come out, then why should he?

Contrarian support contrarians. Everyone is telling Smart he should come out, he is just like "**** y'all bitches".

Plus all those guys that aren't yet the marquee names...... as freshmen.

And Marcus Smart is better than every scrub on that list.

In all seriousness, though, a mistake.

When is the last time someone was a projected top-5 pick, returned to school, and was still a projected top-5 pick the next year (besides Blake Griffin)?

Sometimes I do think you're bing a contrarian just for the sake of being a contrarian. That's fine. No problem with that.

But with Smart - we're talking millions of $ at stake here man. This is not just about making a cute post on some Jazzfanz forum. This is facking real life man!

Scrub? Marcus Smart might turn into James McAdoo and go from a top-5 pick to late first round and then return to school for his junior year.

McAdoo was never good. McAdoo was a ****ing role player who fed off of college super stars. McAdoo should have gone, he sucked *** and still does.

Marcus Smart was the leader of a pretty good OKST team from the start. The guy works hard and plays hard. He gives a **** about winning and is a competitor. He also has natural skills and has plenty of room for improvement. The guy is going to be a boss next year.

He isn't a soft ***** like Perry Jones.

He isn't going to be held back from statistical improvement because of a stacked team like Terrence Jones.
