Following potential 2013 draftees

At this point I know who I like but I want to be as educated on everyone as I can be. It will help when the Jazz don't draft who I want them too.

"@JohnWernerTrib: Isaiah Austin just tweeted that he hasn't made final decision yet on whether he's going or staying."

"@IsaiahAustin: Everybody please don't jump to any conclusions I have not made my final decision yet!
Y'all will know soon enough what I choose..."

"@sJacas: Dennis Schröder not a popular man in Braunschweig right now. Apparently failed to show up for practice after returning from Portland (1/2)"

And

"@sJacas: and then refused to enter the floor as he was about to be subbed in w/ 6m left (in blowout W), says his coach (https://t.co/VE2IUkeLh6) (2/2)"

May be he already got a promise from the Jazz for the 14th pick... ala Jackson and OKC

I went to read the article but I don't speak or read German.

Lemme check it out. Damn, it looks like they asked the dude three questions about Dennis specifically. Very direct too. Ugh, I wish my German wasn't as rusty as it is :(

Ill give it a whirl though.

EDITAs far as I can tell, this game was a very resounding victory, despite the lack of play from Dennis.. Dennis Schröder then enviously, jealously, said "well, I would have loved to celebrate with my teammates on the court", but then mentioned "I enjoyed every minute, that our boys performed on the court.

Drei Fragen an Phantoms-Trainer Kostas Flevarakis zu Dennis Schröder

Three questions on Coach Felbarakis regarding Dennis Schröder (!!!) (Help me Rev9 if I'm incorrect):

Q: Coach Flevarakis, why did you bench Dennis Schröder??

A: The other young players Lucas, Erik and Howard have earned their right to play today for once. They have worked hard all season long. I am so happy that they have played so hard, and showed that they could also have great futures. I wanted to give Dennis 6 minutes before the end of the game-- after all, the fans want to see him as well. But then he didn't want to play anymore.

I think I nailed this one translation. Coach's answer was very direct-- not very cryptic.

Q: Did he HAVE to sit out for so long, because he missed his practice? Was this some sort of punishment?

A: No. It was a reward for the others. Dennis, in his head, is somewhere between Germany and the USA. He was away for a week, and then afterwards he also didn't train together with us. The others, in contrast, have fought for our team, in a critical situation, that we have been placed in the past week. They were there with full hearts, and they stayed here-- whereas Dennis wants to leave, and seek his future elsewhere. Therefore, I wanted to be fair to the either players

Q: Do you trust him in the jump to the NBA? Do you have any concerns/interests? Other Basketball-league trainers have probably not given a 19 year old such a large role, and by that also (can't piece out the meaning of these last 6 words clearly) based his role on his performance

A: Yeah, one can definitely see that. But one needs to applaud the entire team. It was also not easy for the other players, for a 19 year old to take over the roles of the older, international, well-knowleged players. We have all helped him so much, to bring him to where he is now. And Dennis also gave a lot to this team as well. Now I, of-course, hope that he succeeds in the NBA. I truly wish him a lot of success.

From what I could tell, maybe Dennis was just like "well if I'm gonna be benched to give these other dudes an opportunity, I might as well sit out for the entire game. Not much purpose in playing in garbage time".

Keep in mind, German coaches for all sports are very strict-- very principled, very Xs and Os. German sports teams are always well-coached. It seems like this was just a convenient reward for t=some of the younger players, especially seeing as Dennis will be long gone, and the coach wants to focus on developing next season's players.

So basically the anti-Ty?

So if your translation is correct (which I think it is correct enough, but what do I know), it is really not the big ordeal that those tweets were making it out to be.

I actually think it was complimentary of Dennis (at least in parts it was).

It's honestly quite accurate-- the only place that I could have made a mistake was the 6 words that I mentioned. Well, I think so at least.

I agree with you as well.

Wheu Team Jazzfanz!!!!!

Sounded like he was holding a grudge more like. Saying things like "Dennis is somewhere between Germany and USA" and "The rest of the team worked hard while he was away". LOL.. what's that about?

I just don't think he's happy that suddenly he's gonna lose his star PG to the big brother, "the N-B-facking-A".

Deal with it Coach!

I have no idea who these guys are but:

"@DraftExpress: Barcelona's Alex Abrines and Marko Todorovic have both officially entered the 2013 NBA Draft, according to their agent Igor Crespo."

right now who do you take at 14 if both are on the board... McCollum or schröder?

Schroeder. The question you've gotto ask is "Which player can you see leading our team to the NBA Finals?".

If his shot is legit, I see Schroeder.

Disclaimer: Provided his psycho & attitude tests & all those different tests they do checks out. We know so little about him as a person from watching those highlight vids.
