Following potential 2013 draftees

You never see them posting at exactly the same time... just sayin...

True...

But he's probably posting as PKM on this laptop and posting as Scootsy on his Nokia Lumia.. so may be it's possible ... he's very crafty.

But since I've caught on to him, I'm more craftier.

I like it.

Pretty much every mock has us taking Schroeder, which would be sweet, but it's starting to remind me of those years everyone was saying we'd take perfect fits Hibbert or Hansbrough, both of whom eventually moved up a few spots out of reach.

If we're gonna have a chance, teams are really going to have to start valuing the seven footers in this draft. Adams and Gobert both carry a little bit of excitement, but you don't read fans of any lottery team going off about how they hope they draft Plumlee, Dieng, or Olynyk. Speaking of which, you don't read many fans saying they want MCW's babies either.

Anyway, I'm not optimistic we'll be able to get Schroeder. He comes out of nowhere packing the contradictory mystiques of two continents. How are MCW and a handful of lerps supposed to compete with that kind of cool?

What's everyone's opinion on Brandon Davies in the second round? He's a good kid and has shown loyalty, he seems like a good pick and player to have in the locker room.

Don't want to use this account anymore... I've said too much already

I have a feeling some decent players will be available at our second round pick much like there were some good talents that fell deep into the second round last year. I say let Davies go, he will probably not get drafted if the jazz like him sign him as a udfa. And cut his *** after training camp.

What's nice about this draft: nobody saying it's a two-man draft or a three-man draft. In 2011 we had the third pick in a two-man draft. The worst was 2010 when we had the ninth pick in an eight-man draft.

It's true that the top eight picks in 2010 were pretty set in stone, but there's more to talk about in a year when none of them are.

It can't be very fun to be a GM in a year with such defined tiers. Teams can get screwed when they have no real choice but to draft the supposed best player available. Minnesota pretty much had to draft Derrick Williams. Same thing for Philly and Evan Turner, Miami and Beasley, Clippers and Aminu, whereas the Jazz were free to make unexpected picks like Hayward, and, to a lesser extent, Kanter.

I could be way off on this, but my guess is that this year's draft class will look pretty promising early on because teams will be more free to draft players they really love as opposed to being forced the last player left in their supposed tier.

Lots to digest there..

But I think the so-called BPA is a misleading term, because each team will have their own list of BPA's.

I'm probably alone in saying this, but I think if you really like a player, there's no reason to pick the "consensus BPA" - just go for it and pick your man!

As an example, I would happily pick Schroeder at #6 even if Burke is still available (provided Schroeder's attitude checks out and his shooting is legit).
