The only hope I have is Lindsey. A few times he has said the Jazz are rebuilding, but have missed a couple of steps in the process. To me, that HOPEFULLY means you clear out the old veterans who are NOT going to be part of the team moving forward and you give your young players a chance to play.
I've also been encouraged by KOC's reference to believing teams may need to clear space due to the new, more severe luxury tax penalties. That gives me hope the Jazz will NOT be signing a lot of higher salaried veterans. I'd like to see the Jazz stay cheap and even under the salary floor until the deadline. If we have that much space, a lot of teams may come calling for help. And Lindsey can then hold an auction for our cap space, demanding high picks for helping teams avoid huge penalties.
