Following potential 2013 draftees

FYI - Givony is going to do an extended mock draft on Yahoo! tomorrow explaining why he has guys at every spot. I want to hear why he put Larkin at #14 and why the Jazz would pass up Schroder to take him.

OKC desperately needs a big man who can score.
That's who they need to target at #12
They can get a backup PG later.

This. OKC desperately needs a big man. It's the reason they lost to Memphis. I think OKC takes Adams, Gobert, or Zeller.

EDIT- Forgot about Westbrook being injured.

I'm not sure I'd draft Saric with the 2nd round pick depending on who else is there. He has to show a whole lot ****ing more than averaging less than a point per shot, 40% from 2 and 30% from 3 against garbage, and 50% from the line against NOBODY (saying nothing of his sleight frame and un-awesome wingspan).

Also, call me crazy for being less than thrilled that the Jazz might draft what would be arguably the smallest player in the NBA with their first pick.

He'll just say Jazz needs shooting to space the floor and give Kanter & Favors room to operate.

My thing would be, if that's the case, then just pick Schroeder at #14 and pick a locked down 3pt shooter at #21. There's so many in this draft, Bullock, KCP, Crabbe, Karasev, ...

... going by that reasoning/argument, Saric could be one of the biggest SF in the NBA.

I don't think so, I think he will say that the Jazz are really interested in Larkin and can't get him at #21 so they have to get him at #14.

John Wall wants a stretch four who can shoot the ball! Anthony Bennett? I understand the Oladipo is too high statement, like I said he can be exchanged with McLemore at #4. #14 is Larkin's ceiling in my opinion, so, yeah lol.
Good job on your mock, seriously. My nit-picking is just sharing opinions. I think you put together something pretty close.

I believe the formula for success is something like:

Smallest guy you can find + guy that can't guard a position and shoots like total dog**** (but is SO BIG LIKE AL but without a wingspan and is a twig) = championship

I honestly just wanted to do something different at the top and shake things up a little. No way Oladipo goes #2, but I am serious about Bennett going #3 though. Thank you though.

But that still doesn't explain the whole Larkin vs Schroeder thing?

I just don't think the Jazz like Schroder, might just be a hunch. Larkin is the fastest and best shooting point guard in this draft. He was voted second for ACC Defensive Player of the Year. What's not to like about this guy besides his height?
