Following potential 2013 draftees

I like Eric Green, he is worth a late first or early second. I think his passing is under rated. He was asked to score for his team.

I think there will be a run on bigs in the mid to late lottery, dropping a few wings down to Jazz territory that weren't originally expected to still be available.

I think McCollum will end up dropping. If it is true that Portland isn't enamored with this draft they might take Giannis and retain their money for free agency.. I think Minnesota passes on McCollum because they need to have traditional size at the 2 and they should take Kentavious or Shabazz. Then I think the next three teams pass on him. Personally, I just see too much potential in Dennis Schroeder in all the videos to pass up on his kind of court vision, speed and quickness and length.

I'd be surprised if OKC and Dallas pass on McCollum, assuming he slips that far.

Nah, Blazers love McCollum. Paul Allen even attended McCollum's workout and I think they also had dinner together. He wouldn't have done all that if he doesn't think McCollum would be a good pick.

For competition with Lillard?

OH I thought you asked about the dinner.

Well he said he'd love to play next to Lillard and think they could form a pretty good pair complementing each other. He'd always said he wanted to play the way Steph Curry plays with Jarrett Jack.

He needs Utah... as much as Utah needs him.

He has bigger dreams than just playing in the NBA.. finishing off his degree is proof of that. Paul Allen has unlimited funds. (pretty much)

It's not hard to put 2 and 2 together...

McCollum will make the majority of his money as a professional basketball player. He needs an opportunity to thrive to maximize that opportunity. Utah has a starting spot open. Portland has Lillard and Matthews sandwiching him.

As for Paul Allen, there are plenty of people he can discuss other business opportunities with.

I don't believe so... this boy is smart.

If he play his cards right, he can get any $$$ he needs from Allen to start a venture. He'll only be 40 when he retires, that's how old PKM is, it's only just begun IMO.

Schroeder

- He's not as "tough"
- He comes from a poor family, didn't have an easy upbringing.. He has issues in the past with authority, temper, he isn't the easiest guy to manage
- But he has improved. He'll need a support system.
- His agent said: I don't care which pick, I want a good place for him and a good support system
- He isn't a bad person, he could just be immature...
- I actually like him quite a bit, he's a really nice kid, people just need to be aware of his position ...

who are you to question his toughness?

u ever seen him in a fight or flight situation?

trey burke is a year older and has 25lbs on him, id bet the farm Schroder would absolutely kick the **** outa him, honestly..

Three years ago, when Schroeder was 16 years old, he found out that his father was dying of heart failure. Suddenly, the young boy who spent his free time skateboarding, playing basketball and hanging out with friends was forced to mature and become a man.

Just before his father passed away, Schroeder assured him that he would take care of his mother and siblings. He also made a promise that would drive him for the next three years.
“I promised my dad that one day I would be in the NBA so that I could help my family a lot,” Schroeder told HOOPSWORLD.
