What's new

Following potential 2014 draftees

Interesting take you have on him. Obviously you've watching him much more than I have.

I didn't think that the video breakdown was flattering much at all. He certainly is interesting but I don't know that I would look at him seriously unless he was going in the 2nd round.

I hope that you keep the rest of us updated about his as the season progresses.

I guess the only edge I could have is having watched Eurobasket and the U19 WC in Prague. But I have little to no access to watch Adriatic League Games. And they don't participate in European competitions.
Writing off the developments on his handles at age 19 is premature IMO. He'll get more consistent with growing experience and playing PG with pros at a young age is very difficult to handle for most players. Especially when you're having a pass first mindset. What I probably like the most is that he understands the sets they're playing and knows who's at which spot at most times. That gives him the opportunity to make the best decision and make it look very easy, even though it's not. With improved handles and better strength he'll be even more efficient at passing as he can control angles and timing better.

who would have thought oladipo was going to play some PG

He's looking more and more like a James Harden type player right now...athletic, slasher, 3pt shooter, you play him with a PG, but when the game's on the line you put the ball in his hands and make him a creator off the dribble.

I'm quite impressed by the way the Orlando GM could potentially squeeze out an All Stars from that that draft.

Cleveland has got to be kicking themselves right now for not taking him. Bennett has been horrid so far. Waiters might be faking illnesses right now.

I don't think Waiters fakes anything, but Cleveland might have hurt their talent stock by mentally locking in both their guards long term, when they are not natural fights next to each other(Questionable defense, lack of size(not necessarily height), too trigger happy from deep)
But Bennett was injured during offseason, he's got more than enough time to turn around and finally prove that undersized scoring PFs can be useful.

You mean they should be disappointed for taking a guy that NO ONE thought was a #1. yeah they blew it alright.

Cleveland is a **** show. Even Kyrie Irving is doing poorly over there.

Speaking of, he played better defense at Duke than he does now. It's embarrassing how bad his defense is. Ugh.

Everybody's way better at defense in college. Irving is struggling? What gives?

Couldn't tell ya. Dude is shooting around 40%, which is pathetic. It's crazy, because he has a beautiful shot, and I know he's a good shooter. The sooner he gets out of Cleveland, the better.

Cleveland has ruined every draft since Kyrie could have had Drummond and Barnes but for some reason they like to waste high picks on guys with limited upsides..

Kyrie will be fine.. he just needs to be on a better team. Everyone knows he's elite.
