Following potential 2014 draftees

How about we do this..

I'll post the players that DX has from 19 - 23 and we choose one player from that list.

19 Jerami Grant SF
Syracuse, Sophomore
20 Adreian Payne PF
Michigan State, Senior
21 Mitch McGary C
Michigan, Sophomore
22 Glenn Robinson SF
Michigan, Sophomore
23 Wayne Selden SG
Kansas, Freshman

I'd probably take Payne out of this group.
Then the order looks pretty good.

(Dekker is at #18 but he'll move up to late lottery)

I bet the gs pick ends up around 24-25. They will end up around 4 in the west, and only 2 teams in the East will have a better record. I think you take the best shooter available.

They also have Austin at #25 and I'd take him before any of the above. Risk/reward.

If I plan with Kanter long term, Austin would be unnecessary. Plus he's reportedly not having too much fun playing basketball. So I'll go with Payne. He's bringing valuable things to the table. But he might rise depending on how the NCAA tourney plays out for M State.
Looking down the list a little I'm waiting for an analysis video on TJ Warren and his improvements. Right now he screams Derrick Williams but I like some of his traits. If his mechanics and aim are not broken and he can improve defensively I'd take a closer look at his personality. Spencer Dinwiddie is also very intriguing to me. He'd be my favorite choice to be paired in a backcourt with Parker. I'm probably equally tempted by having Payne as a backup PF and Dinwiddie as my starting SG. I'll prolly go with Dinwiddie. You can trade Hayward and Burks if you get him IMO. Better bang for the buck compared to both. Plus defense.

From DX.

Playing on some of the biggest platforms of college basketball thus far has given us ample opportunity to evaluate Randle's very distinct strengths and weaknesses as a prospect, which we've done in the following video scouting report courtesy of Mike Schmidt

I've watched that scouting report of Julius before. It made me a lot more optimistic projecting him as a defender.

it's tough to say not knowing who the jazz take with their first pick.

Kyle Anderson's play looks like he's really improved over the summer and his statistics underline that. But then again that was against Duke and they're having this career night giveaway going on this season. I don't know if they have a chance to participate in the tourney this year but I feel his latest results may polarize a little and lead people to argue over him:
ON one hand he's looking really bad in some situations and some of his moves won't probably translate but somehow he stuffs the sheet and helps his team win games.
His transition passing(especially the outlet passes) reminds me a little of another UCLA product: Kevin Love.

What's a player comp for Selden? I can't get a good read on him. His numbers are down but maybe isn't getting enough touches being on Kansas and all.

I have thought this but he is redundant to burks. if the jazz plan to trade burks then I would pull the trigger otherwise Burke and Neto will do.

Maybe I'm confused but ANdrew is not redundant with Burks. ANdrew is a true PG that can shoot. Burks... is not.
