Following potential 2014 draftees

Mitch ****ing McGary is as good as Kanter talk is fidd'na make me quit this board again.

Would you rather have Small Forward Randle talk? :D
I got a trick or two up my sleeves to get that started...

Edit: And I got an even more wicked trick to make it disppear!

I'm tricked out, bro.

Hey Jazzfanz
We need a tweener combo forward in the 2014 draft.
Who are the best combo forwards and which position will they have the most success down the road? Tell me! :D

And let the show begin.
Btw the making it disappear has something to do with the "time out" function on jazzfanz...

Most are tweeners every year, tbh.

Is Wiggins a 2 or 3?
Parker a 3 or 4?
Smart a 1 or 2?
Vonleh?
Gordon?

We know what Embiid is for sure... but most are varying degrees of tweener.

I think it's more that the way you mix man and zone defense nowadays combined with an increased talent pool compared to 20 years ago you play less iso ball.

(Unless you're the OKCity Thunder and basically have only 3 legit players on the whole squad - Then you play only iso ball and the main reason it doesn't work

that well is because Durant is getting not enough touches)

The question I ask myself is:

Can he defend most guys that he will face in certain roles? And has he tools to abuse collapsing defenses in case he can't create himself.

With Parker everyone says he's so horrible moving laterally and being aware of where the ball is AND what his opponent does.

So you put him on guys like LeBron and Durant and other 3s that you'd give the attributes lengthy, explosive or strong? Won't work too often.

Granted that there's a 3 out of 4 chance he lands in the Eastern Conference you can probably do the stunt sometimes.

Can you match him up vs LeBron? No you can not under no circumstances unless you have an early offense situation with transition defense failing or a switch

even though I'd say a Udonis Haslam LeBron James pick and roll is kind of useless unless you want to have LeBron double teamed.

The problem really goes big if you ask yourself: Can he guard Toronto Raptors wing Terrence Ross? - My answer is: NO, but Terrence Ross might have another

shot at scoring 50 points and scoring a huge extension.

What kinda night can someone like Giannis have against sleepy Parker?

Can Mike Dunleavy attack a franchise record on 3s made while being guarded by Jabari?

Can Jimmy Butler do so as well? Jeff Green having one of these games where you're like: Can't he do this 82 games in a row?

Him guarding the curls and cuts from Luol Deng?

What's he gonna do against Kyle Korver coming off a ball screen?

What's his plan when being iso'd by Paul George?

That's my problem with jabari. He isn't worth the max if he's got to defend wings and does it the way he did at Duke.

I'd say he can do even more damage offensively against slower PFs than he can do against quick athletic SFs even though I'd suspect teams like San Antonio

would happily play small ball with Kawhi Leonard on him if he plays the 4. But then you at least have an open paint for your PG. That's not too bad either.

If he plays PF then he's outmatched length wise against some guys, but you have so few good big defender that the alternative would be that someone else

would be outmatched against them anyways. So you have little to no reduced defense, but you win tons of spacing, and points over his replacement and simply

buy a 3andD SF for the MLE or whatever.

I see even bigger problems for Randle in that department, as he plays with 1 hand, can't take more than 1 consecutive dribble before doing a finishing move with

his 1 predictable hand, hasn't shown any shooting yet and has a bigger duck *** than Patrick Ewing that tells how well he'll defend quicker wings.

Hell Terrence Ross may even attack Kobe Bryants career best when guarded by Randle. But I don't wanna enrage sweet lil nick too much, so I'll just stop here.

The other guys you listed have qualities where I'd say: Yeah 80% of the nights he can basically play both positions and the nights it doesn't work you have a

complimentary player for.

Edit: Improved visuals for my friend Cyrone Torbin.

^tl;dr

but I assume it says you agree that Randle is the 2nd best SF in the draft.. and that's assuming Wiggins is a 3.

Nice to see they can share. So you're saying they could play the SF spot, in part, due to being willing passers?

I think I have to pass the info about this account highjacking to the mods asap.

Can I play SF too? Are we there yet? I have to pee!
