Maybe a timely planted smoke bomb by DL after seeing Orlando bring Smart back for a second workout....?

I'm starting to think he might. The Jazz wouldn't leak they like Exum because he is mocked higher than where they stand. That accomplishes nothing.

They could also be trying to fuel a Parker vs Exum conversation in Philli. Philli doesn't seem to be super sure on Parker. If Parker were to fall to Orlando he's very attainable.

Of course knowing that other GMs will be skeptical of what he says. He could be trying to make Orlando think that he is trying to keep Exums stock up because he likes Smart. When in reality he does actually like Exum.

On the heels of the Randle foot issue, David Locke reminds DJ that Jabari had foot issues before he went to Duke, and he is also 240 lbs. Locke poses an intriguing scenario of Jabari sliding on draft night because of medical issues...and what do the Jazz do if Jabari or Embiid fall to #5 because of bad feet or back?

Think you would have to take either one of them. Of course they are sliding for a reason, and the issue must have a very high % of being career altering, but I think you have to take that chance at 5? I don't know, it would be a hard decision for sure if your medical staff is giving you bad news.

you take em i think.

You take them in a heartbeat. That's Chad Ford just fishing for something to write about. Jabari and Embiid are off the board by 3 at the latest.

Side note: watching Kawhi Leonard last night got me substantially more excited about an Aaron Gordon or Noah Vonleh. Long, athletic, cerebral, two-way players who can make an impact all over the floor. Kawhi has that little extra something special, though.
