Following potential 2014 draftees

I hope Saric goes that high. Would validate the rankings I did several pages ago...before the talk turned to babes instead of balls.

He completely dominated the U19 tournament. Played great at the end of the season as well. Eurobasket coming up. If he plays well there will help to solidfy him in the eyes of scouts.

Hate to break up the party with boring darft stuff, but this is from Chad Ford.

.
His top 10:
Wiggins
Randle
Exum
Parker
Smart
Gordon
Andrew Harrison
Embiid
Saric
Walker

Who are embiid and walker?

Embiid is an insane shot blocker/athlete going to Kansas. Raw but holy hell tons of upside.
Walker WAS going to Florida being the knucklehead he is, didn't qualify. (he's the one that has lips tattooed all over his neck, idiot) EXtremely talented.. I'm just not sure he'll keep it together and the only reason he's not cracking my top 10.

What's Walkers floor?

So Embiid is a poor man's Rudy Gobert?

Very good list.

I'm on the record saying all of you guys have Saric too high, so I'll leave it at that.
I also like Parker more than Exum... but that's splitting hairs.

like women nba gms like their players big and if exum can show that he is a 6-6 pg he will go way high. I am even tempted to put Harrison over Parker. nba gms like a lot of potential. Parker has the least upside of anyone in the top 6.

Disagree on Parker. If you're looking at size and athleticism, then your statements are warranted.. but you would also be ignoring the fact that the kid has no real holes in his game and his bbIQ is off the charts.

I agree but I am talking upside. don't get me wrong as far as the jazz brass I draft him second to only wiggins.

I'm talking about upside too.

Take Chris Walker and Jabari Parker for example. If you were at the combine you'd take Walker over Parker. But watch them play and it all changes. Just saying Parker is a transcendental player as it relates to his feel for the game, overall skill, and size.

Upside is what gets GM's fired. For every player taken high because of his "upside," you have an equal number of busts that never reach their "potential." At this point, I'd probably say Exum is the riskiest pick in the top group (I'm not counting Walker). The others will sort themselves out as they get a full year of college experience.

Love Exum. ... and agree.

Hack and nickkk can't stop arguing in the fantasy draft, and now we're actually talking about prospects in here? That's two threads ruined today.
