Following potential 2014 draftees

Watched Big Blue Madness.

Randle is unstoppable. Srsly.
Young is crazy good.
AaHarrison is underrated.

Those three stood out (early).

Watched it too.
Observations:
-Randle was the only strongly "tanned" player who didn't select a hip hop tune for their introduction. He didn't dance either.
-There were like 50 cheerleader with a super cheerleader effect. Couldn't memorize a single one. Were they hot?
-The game itself had 0 intensity and was mostly fooling around. WCS looked very lost though. Young has good positioning and a sweet jumper.
-The arena seemed kinda loud for such a big one. I always thought Americans don't cheer and only consume the entertainment.
-The girls squad's skills were on par with Biedrins.
-Derrick Rose is a beast. Oh that was a different browser window.

This guy can do the behind the back dribbling too. Almost ;)
Was nice to see him handle it on the break. But I expected it from what I've seen earlier.

Man, that whole play was nice. The off board, the loop de loop spin move, and then the other side of heaven flush over a couple of Blue Devils. That was as agile as I've seen from him. Considering the last game I saw him play in was when he was fat and out of shape because of his injury, I think I'm going to be surprised at how good he really is.

No doubt. Jabari is very very polished and skilled.
I've long time liked the Paul Pierce comp with better inside game.

From ESPN.com, Jeff Goodman
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Andrew Wiggins will be a very good NBA player someday, but he's a long ways away. It's completely unfair to put the supposed prize of the 2014 NBA draft class in the same sentence as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant or Kevin Durant.

Just our luck to tank a season to get into the lottery to draft a player who won't pan out.
Fwiw, though this may all be true, Jeff Goodman is a very good friend of Bill Self (buddies, even). I guarantee you Self asked Goodman to write the article so it could be used to motivate Wiggins. Zero doubt.

This.
The ol' loop de loop spin move is a lost art in bb.

Scout told me teams are very cautious about Aaron Gordon... but because of AZ's roster they predict that he will put up monster points and boards... but that's not what they'll be watching for.

good to know. I think he is the biggest gamble in my top 7.

PKM honest question what is it about the Duke program and coach K that gets LDS kids to go there?

I totally understand that 19/20 people hate Calipari.. but just sharinh his speech from last night.. like I always say, he's always talking to recruits when he's speaking. Dude is an incredible speaker.

Probably just the national perception of it being a 'clean' program and very strong academically.

What other Mormons did Duke get? Just Chris Burgess and Parker right? Granted, that's probably 2/2 on ones they actually wanted, but they were like 15 years apart so it's not like Duke is going to that well super often. I don't think there is anything there beyond why your average basketball recruit would be interested in Duke that would be more of interest to LDS guys. Though the campus looks one big church to me in pictures.....so maybe that's it.

there have been others but not top recruits just bench players that seldom played.

I'm not on board with this (just reserving judgement), but one NBA "director of scouting" said James Young looks like a top5 talent in the next draft.

He said;
Wiggins
Randle
Parker
Exum
Young

I don't have Young in my top5 and I have Parker SLIGHTLY ahead of Randle.. but just thought I'd share
