Following potential 2014 draftees

If teams are going to be willing to pay Hayward big bucks, then you'd think he'd be able to net us something pretty good in a trade (if the FO decides they don't want to pay him).

Don't think the front office will let Hayward walk. can't see it happening. I just think they wanted to see if they could get him for cheaper. that is why they did not extend him. Plus, a lot og guys don't get extended and it makes sense why. Just look at John Wall. the Wizards are retarded for giving him the max because the truth is that he is not quite a max guy... they should have just waited.

Double edged sword though... once you have him, you'll still have to match whatever another team offers him.

I would bet that he'll average 18 pts per game right off the bat.

How many, in 3 years. I've been looking at all the championship teams scoring (top 5 scoring players per team). Trying to determine if a jazz team with the starters of Parker, Favors, Embiid, would have enough scoring. I'm pretty sure the defense would be there.

Fun "what ifs"

Definitely in the 22-24pts range on a nightly basis the way he's been hitting 3's in college... He just seems like one of those players that has the shooting touch (Curry, Thompson, Irving also comes to mind).

What I'm saying is he won't agree to a sign-and-trade.

Why wouldn't he outside of malice and stupidity? If he wants out, his best shot is in a sign-and-trade (otherwise the Jazz can just match whatever offer comes in and even trade him anywhere they want WITHOUT his consent if they saw fit).
