Following potential 2014 draftees

Phone won't let me multi-quote for some reason...

What bigmike said.. why move Hayward to get Aaron when he won't rise above the GSW pick anyway.

Plus, I'm concerned about his defense at this point. Its early, but Young looks like a total stud and Aaron looks like a great college player that's too slow to guard NBA guards.

Well the gist of my proposal is simply to trade Hayward + GSW pick for the best/most upside wing (to pair with either Jabari or Wiggins that we'll get with our pick, .

It's still too tell obviously who that BPA wing will be and what pick we can get in return.

cross-posting these thoughts:

The idea of trading Hayward, pairing the returning asset with the GSW pick just, all so we can take another flyer on a wing......
This is a ****stain idea if I've ever heard one.

Hayward is an above-average defender who can shoot above 40% from 3. His problem right now is that he is trying to do too much. Turn him into an incredibly rich-man's Danny Green.

LOL.. watched any Jazz game this year? He's shooting 30% from 3, and less than 40% FG overall.

Trying to do too much? Well he'll have to if he's demanding more than $11m per year!! LOL..

I like the idea of Jabari + Hayward a lot.. I'm just not willing to pay GH more than $11per.

That's exactly my angle.

Saw Bradley Beal play vs Cavs, boy that guy has a smooth shot. Heady player too. Anyone that can be had with a similar talent in this draft if we trade Hayward & the GSW pick?

It doesn't matter what he's demanding. If he plays like this, then the market will probably set his value around $10m. If he were to shoot 40% from 3, play above-average defense, be a monster in transition, and execute highly-efficient secondary PnR action, then he is worth that payday. Every team would want a player like that.

Also, you're a dumbass.

I wouldn't want someone who shoots 30% from 3's for $10m, would you?

Also, it isn't really an idea to say, "Trade Hay and GSW pick for a good wing at a low cost." Everybody with 2cents has thought about that. It takes a real trade partner with interest in paying Hayward somewhere in the area of $10-$11m. You can probably figure out the teams that will be drafting from 10 to 20. If you want to coin an idea, then propose a real deal with one of those teams.

Or, be a lazy dope.

If you don't think his averages are drawn down because he is over-extended, then you know less about basketball than I thought you did. That wouldn't shock me. I have very little faith in you as it is.

Besides, Hay has started slow every single year of his career. But, yeah, let's just rush to talking points. Dumbass.

Hayward is worth more than moving up 10 draft spots.

Stop agreeing with me. It's giving me a complex and beginning to make me doubt every guiding pricipal I own.

In reference to last year's thread, here is some footage of Archie Goodwin not sucking.

Barring injury, that GSW pick is around 25. Do you know how many late-lottery picks bust? You don't give up Hay + a late-first (in a draft that will have a good player there), just to take a flyer. That's bad asset management.

Let Hay play for his contract. If you don't want to pay him what the market sets, then S&T. Simple. And, you get more and better assets in return.
