Following potential 2014 draftees

Rose contract:
2012-13: $16,402,552.
2013-14: $17,632,743
2014-15: $18,862,934
2015-16: $20,093,126
2016-17: $21,323,317

My Heart is breaking.

Even though there's nothing funny about meniscus tears I wanna add a fun fact for lack of another synonym:
Even if Derrick Rose doesn't play another game of his contract, he's still $16M and a gun accident away from challenging Arenas for worst contract value ever.

McDermott seems like the real deal. I think he can be a point a minute man off the bench in the nba. classic 6th man

Might be in position to take him with the GS pick. Perhaps Lindsey can trade the GS pick + the 2nd to move up, then buy another pick in the late first. There are going to be some decent role players/backups throughout the late first and early second rounds.

Jazz need all the shooters they can get. I am still thinking that the GS pick might be too high to pick McDermott but he would certainly fill the role of shooter off the bench.

If you're looking for a shooter than Jabari's your guy.

And people think Parker is nonathletic, McDermott...Geez. Dude can shoot though, but I'd pass.

I think someone like Vonleh would be a great pick in that range. The draft is so deep that there will be quite a few players dropping or moving up. Lindsey showed us with Gobert and Neto that he has an eye for the intermediate talent. Let's hope he makes a Gobert-esque find in 2014.

Not thinking of him as a starter. Can he be a dominant player off the bench in comparison to what other players will be available in that 18-22 range?

From DraftExpress Mock 13-25. If I had my pick and since I would have to trade up to get McDermott, I'd go after Saric at 13. Realistically from 18-22, I'm picking Young. At this point anyway.

13 Dario Saric SF
19 years old; 6'10"; 223 lbs.
14 Doug McDermott PF

16 Adreian Payne PF/C
22 years old; 6'9"; 215 lbs.
17 Isaiah Austin C
20 years old; 7'1"; 220 lbs.
18 Mitch McGary C
21 years old; 6'10"; 263 lbs.
19 James Young SF
18 years old; 6'7"; 202 lbs.
20 Jahii Carson PG

21 Spencer Dinwiddie SG

Agreed with Vonleh, but Draftexpress has him in the 2015 draft...so he wasn't on the list above. He is going 9th btw.

There's a wide variation among the draft boards. nbadraft.net had him right after McDermott at #16.

Yep nbadraft.net is a lot different. I'm not a fan of them, but I do like that the teams are on there. I'd take Aaron Gordon at 20 on that draft board.

James Young at 19.
