I had never really thought about that. Interesting.
Lakers had Shaq
Detroit had Ben Wallace
HOU had Hakeem
Chicago had Pippen
These teams had at least 1-2 GREAT 2-way player OR have legit DPOY post defenders...
I had never really thought about that. Interesting.
You overrate Chandler like I've never seen any player overrated before. The only team I can remember that didn't have a great 2-way player that won it all was Dallas, but they had Chandler was was a GREAT low post defender and compliments Dirk really well.
Can Favors be that guy? Doubt you can be that guy unless you're legit 7 footer, tbh witchu.
Son, you must have forgot what 1997 was like.Horrible take. Just horrible.
What Pkmoe said about killer instinct. Kobe's killer instinct and drive is otherworldly.

Kobe wasn't an overnight star.
He couldn't do anything his first year in the NBA but dunk.
You should know this by now, UGLI child.

Yeah, he was complimentary to that title they won, but he hasn't done a DAMN thing before or since he won that title in Dallas.
Well he did win DPOY in 2012, how many players can put that on their CV?
That's my point. If you focus only on their offensive weapons, then you'd end up with Deron, CP3, Carmelo....
What we really need is a Tim Duncan, Roy Hibbert, Paul George type to really make a push......no?? Somebody suggested taking Embiid for this reason alone a few days ago, I don't know if I can disagree...
I don't think Jabari will be bad defensively because he'll care and make the effort. He may have to expend an inordinate amount of energy, though, just to be average and could rob his legs on the offensive side of the ball... yielding a player that falls short of what many of us are assuming from him. That is the potential downside.
You know what I mean... a true 2-way player who can make an impact both offensively and defensively.
Heats had LeBron
Indiaha had Hibbert & George
Spurs had Duncan
Boston had Garnett
etc, etc, etc...

I think this is about right.... I think he is like a mix of bledsoe and tyreke..... and neither of them are very good/willing passers either when playing the point
I'm calling it now, Wiggins is the next Kobe.
IF you give him a good cast to develop around, and IF you hire somebody to give him a consistent shot. Who worked with Kobe in the late 90's/early 2000's that made Kobe, Kobe? He's got the 1997 Kobe build, the athleticism.
He's missing one thing that Kobe and MJ had... killer. Dude needs to spend a year in Killeen know what it means to be on the streets and become a fighter.
Where would you rank Favors and Kanter in this draft (as they are now)?
