Following potential 2014 draftees

Who could the Jazz want on the Pacers?

Stephenson?

George Hill?

Only two players that remotely make sense to me. Hill cuz of the Lindsey/Spurs connection. Doubt Pacers would be willing to part with any key pieces given they considered heavy contenders.

Copeland maybe, I remember the Jazz having interest in the off season but lost out. Copeland plus swapping the GS pick with Indiana's would save them about 2 million dollars next year. With GS not a lock to make the playoffs though, I wouldn't make the swap.

LOL. The Pacers would do that in a heartbeat. Some guy who doesn't play for a chance to get the 14th pick, or a pick that will for sure be way better than the pick they are giving up.

The Jazz would laugh their asses off doe.

Its got to be someone who can continue to keep burks on the bench next year and take minutes from him.
Stephenson is my guess.... or they get hill and use him as a shooting guard.

Oh **** you're right! Jazz was 1 of the team interested in Copeland in the offseason too!!! The pieces fit!!!

Jazz have a bunch of expiring deals to move--Jefferson, Rush, Biedrins, Marvin. Did Rush once play for Indiana?

So.... Rush and a pick for a player we actually want.

Makes sense. There is 0% chance we hang on to both picks when the draft is finished. Will trade up in draft or trade a pick for a player who can help us now.

Well would not say zero. We don't know where the pick will be and I'm not so sure the jazz would not just stack assets if they did not feel they were getting something better in return.

Teams contending for titles don't give up key players for the 14th pick at best, most likely the 23rd pick.

I would say they were talking about trading Marvin. Only ish that makes logical sense.

No one wants ****ing Copeland. He is 29 and gets 5 mpg.

The Official "We Have Given Up on Granger Ever Being Good Again" Pacer's trade. They throw in their 1st round pick.

Holy crap I'm a genius. Trade makes too much sense.

Who???? Indiana is a terrible trading partner if it means giving up the pick for one of their end of the bench guys. They are not trading anyone from their core.

Ok I get on this one.

I know. I got excited thinking about it. Makes too much sense if Indiana decides to sever the emotional ties with Granger. It would make complete basketball sense. The dude appears to be done, but he has been w/ the franchise for the past 9 years. Marvin and Richard would give them a big bench upgrade. Marvin would actually get game time and Jefferson w/ the vet leadership doe.

Plus Lindsey said he wanted to help put Jefferson on a contender, right?

Copeland doesn't get minutes because Lance has broke out and gets 35 mpg. The Jazz are going to be the worst three point shooting team next year unless Hayward, Burks, and Burke dramatically improve. Copeland can flat out shoot, he made 123 of 250 three point shots with the Knicks last year. The GS pick is too much, but would like to get Copeland.

I see this as a backup plan for Indiana. Think they are going to try and get some bigger fish with Granger's expiring.

Yep and lands us 4 picks in the top 40. Should give us some ammo to move up a spot or two

Marvin Williams shoots the three just fine. Pass on copeland.

Stevenson and Copeland don't even play the same position so how is lance keeping minutes from him?
