Following potential 2014 draftees

Teams contending for titles don't give up key players for the 14th pick at best, most likely the 23rd pick.

I would say they were talking about trading Marvin. Only ish that makes logical sense.

No one wants ****ing Copeland. He is 29 and gets 5 mpg.

The Official "We Have Given Up on Granger Ever Being Good Again" Pacer's trade. They throw in their 1st round pick.
I agree. I don't see Utah giving up the GS pick for Copeland. Maybe give Indiana the right to swap picks. But even then, I'd guess Lindsey would lottery-protect it, especially with GS hanging in the 8th spot right now.

I haven't posted in a dozen pages.. or so...

but I know for sure the Utah Jazz have approached a team about trading their GSW pick. For what I don't know. I don't get the impression it's a package with the first.

Warriors pick + Hayward for Paul George. Hometown boy returns to Indiana. Pacers clear salary space to re-sign Stephenson. (jk, of course).

Since everyone thinks it's Copeland, let me throw another possibility out there. Could Lindsey perhaps like Solomon Hill? He was drafted 23rd last season. So it would essentially be a swap of picks in the same range (if Dennis lottery-protects the GS pick).

You calling out OP?

Dude got injured early and is buried behind Ariza who is having a career year. Don't be sleeping on OP now.

I wouldn't say "Don't be sleeping", but "Give him a chance at least".
Also Ariza is having a contract year #coincidence

Who could the Jazz want on the Pacers?

Stephenson?

George Hill?

Only two players that remotely make sense to me. Hill cuz of the Lindsey/Spurs connection. Doubt Pacers would be willing to part with any key pieces given they considered heavy contenders.

The Pacers like Hill a lot. Really a lot. They think his $8M is excellent value as his on ball defense is superb. You'll see him defend Dwyane Wade in the ECF.
Stephenson is untouchable right now. As they need him to win this year and are trying really hard to resign him for good value.

Its got to be someone who can continue to keep burks on the bench next year and take minutes from him.
Stephenson is my guess.... or they get hill and use him as a shooting guard.

Haha.

I don't think the Pacers are ready to give up on Solomon. They'll find out that it may be more beneficial for the team to play S. Hill 15min a game and take away a couple from Paul George for rest and stuff.

Some of you should not be allowed around sharp objects or behind the wheel of a car.

Holy ****

Harsh words.

If they talk I think it'd include GSW's 2016 2nd rounder unless there's a real value in return. Everyone knows that Larry BIFF'd their payroll situation this summer with the Phoenix trade and FA signings that are now souring on their bench.
Chris Copeland would make sense for both teams. Pacers open up salary to resign Stephenson. Jazz won't be willing to pay Williams' price tag anyways and take away too many minutes from Kanter.
I think the Pacers would love to move Mahinmi for a more productive Center with similar defensive qualities. But the Jazz won't be their trade partner and they need a Center in return as the Pacers need insurance behind Hibbert as Bynum would be their only Center if they shipped him.
I think they're happy with CJ Watson as he does replacement level numbers and doesn't hurt them.
I can see them shipping off Luis Scola. He only has the desired impact every 2nd or 3rd game. And he stretches the court less than Williams would. Also he's owed another $5M next year. But that would require Indiana to include picks for salary dump. But it could be something like: We give u a GSW 2nd and you give us ur 1st rounder 2016 ;)
The Granger scenarios would be basically: We give u Williams + trade exception or Rush and you give Granger. But that would require them to include assets. Not us.
Or it was a 3 team trade with someone else included.

I don't think he'll be on Wade much if they want to win. They would post up D-Wade every possession and score every time.

Yeah might be true. Lance would be better for that. I always forget that he no longer can drive to the hoop ;) But since he almost never plays it's hard to remember.

Yeah haven't followed Wade that much, but I do know that the Heat are always quick to post him up if the match-up dictates it. He's very efficient there.

Adding Copeland would just be adding another guy doomed to inefficiency. He doesn't solve the Jazz's problem of no efficient playmaker. If the Jazz get that guy or develop one he could be a good fit tho.

I've never, ever seen him play so I don't really have an opinion on him. But if it's true he's 29 and he averages 5 minutes a game, then he sounds ****ty.

Indiana doesn't play him because they have other options on 3 and 4. And he doesn't play D. That's the main reason. But if you want instant offense then he's your guy.

the only trade the jazz make with Indy is to take salary from them for next year in exchange for draft picks. Indy wants to re-sign Stephenson without going over the cap. copeland, mahmini (sp)and scola fit that bill. I could see granger being thrown in so the jazz can see if he is worth signing next season.

Is this the draft thread or the official trade rumors thread?
Guess the party is wherever PKM happens to post. Even if we don't have details, it is nice to hear Lindsey is out there trying to shake things up. And Dennis is operating very much like KOC in terms of keeping things very quiet. Glad PKM has a mole planted somewhere.

You guys see the scouting report on Noah Vonleh that DX posted recently? Not entirely encouraging.

no Vonleh on tv tonight, games postponed due to falling metal in the arena. im sure Vonlehs lack of explosion is overstated in that DX vid id bet hes gonna jump around 36" at the combine there was a report a few months ago that he could touch 12'.

Embiid is back tonight vs Texas Tech.

UK on Espn vs Ole Miss... Chad ford said a few days ago that the Harrisons want to declare this year

Ofc the Harrisons leave. Unless they get a final 4 they won't repair their stock. And next year's UK recruiting class is so bad that PKM quit on basketball. So better leave while being relatively young and get drafted highly to Cleveland or some ****hole who write the word potential 15 thousand times in their scouting report.
