There are very few elite defenders in the league like Michael Cooper, Joe Dumars, Rodman, Gary Payton, Pippen etc. Today the NBA is more of a 3 pt shooting league and the rules don't allow you to grab and hold.

I have said it before and i'll say it again. I never know how to take you. I think you operate from a position just because its entertaining to you. I am under the impression you do not have opinions, and if you do, you would theoretically suppress it, because it would detract from the unique ambiguity which constitutes the very essence of What Franklin is. You are beyond holding an opinion. Somehow you transcend all of that. I guess maybe you are John the Beloved, Bigfoot, an exiled alien... Who knows.

This is a very true statement. While there are varying degrees of bad, very few NBA players should be considered "good" at defense.
