What's new

Following potential 2014 draftees

My mock:

1. Cavs - Wiggins
2. Bucks - Parker
3. Sixers - Exum
4. Magic - Smart
5. Jazz - Embiid
6. Celtics - Gordon
7. Lakers - Vonleh
8. Kings - Randle

I would certainly be excited about Embiid. Can't let a talent like that get past you until he gets a leg amputated.

:^O

I'll put the likelihood at about .001%, and that's just for the first pick

Lose to Co-Finals MVPs Alec Burks and Andrew Wiggins, on a game-winning buzzer beater by Black Jesus.

I wouldn't be a bit surprise if Cleveland took Jabari with the 1st pick. I would only assume it'll be for the Jazz in a trade soon during the nba draft.

Embiid at 5 would be magical. I don't think he's there, though. I still have him too 3 on my big board and I don't see how Orlando passes on him if Philly opts for Exum at 3.

The deal will essentially prohibit Saric from playing in the NBA for a minimum of two years the source told ESPN.

****...draft him at 23. That would be amazing.

As predicted by yours truly, the fall of Saric is almost complete... no way hes in the lottery doe. No one was gonna take him top 10, I dont buy that. Porzingis is the better prospect, Nurkic too.

Also looks as if Milwaulkee will be passing on Embiid

Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry, via Charles F. Gardner of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Lasry is ruling out Bucks taking Embiid. "Our decision got a lot easier, mainly because Embiid got hurt."—

"It's hard to take Embiid," Lasry said. "We want somebody who is going to help us on Day 1."—

Maybe Saric really likes being a star in Europe, playing the European game, and bangin dirty euro chicks?

Not everyone has a dream to play in the nba.

Didn't want to create a new thread.

Why are people acting as if Tomic has already come over? Was there a tweet from Jazz management or something? Why are some posters acting like Tomic will be playing for the Jazz next year?

IIRC, there was a poorly translated article that indicated it would happen. His name has been mentioned in some interviews, and I think some jazz execs have said they will talk this summer.

Hes interesting IMO, in the context of this summers FA Center crop and his potentially low cap #, clearly the Jazz could use him if one of Kanter or Favors is traded.

Maybe its crazy but id rather have Tomic for a few mil then Gortat or Spencer Hawes for 3 years 30 million. It leaves much more wiggle room for the Jazz to add Trevor Ariza, or even maybe Luol Deng, Kyle Lowry or Avery Bradley

Oh no. Not Anadolu Efes. Not a rival team.

But it is good for him. He is getting a chance to work with one of the best coaches in Euroleague, Dusan Ivkovic. He will probably get good money too.

Aaron Gordon In Consideration To Go As High As No. 4 To Magic
Jun 23, 2014 12:17 AM EDT

Aaron Gordon is receiving consideration from the Orlando Magic with the No. 4 overall pick in the NBA draft and is not expected to fall past the Sacramento Kings at No. 8.

Gordon displayed a 39-inch vertical leap during the Chicago pre-draft combine.

"If and when I reach my full potential, I think I will be better than everybody [in this draft]," Gordon said. "I think I will have an edge."
