What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

Have not watched him much but he seems to be an undersized skinny PF. If he could develop into a SF I think he would be good but he seems a little to slow of a shooter and not good enough handle and I am not sure that will change.

He won't be skinny in 3 years. And it would be retarded to try and make him a SF, you'd be taking away the one thing he's elite at, rebounding.

How many Skinny PF have converted to SF... They all end up like Jeff green, Marvin Williams, and Thad Young.

All I keep hearing is Looney can do so much more and that the coach is limiting him... If he can do so much more and it helps the team win why would the coach limit him? That team isn't very good either so I'm not so sure why his coach wouldn't just set him loose. I don't think he'd be a guy I'd want on the jazz.

that's because the coach wants his son to shine.

My big board is Russell, Mudiay, Hezonja. I don't really care for other players anymore.

He's better and more fluid than Marvin Williams. He's skilled enough that he can actually play on the perimeter. I think he'll look a lot like Luol Deng in the league. It's hard to know how good a scorer he'll be in the pros though.

If not Russell I would be really happy with either Johnson or Super Mario. I hope they don't get hyped that much, we could really use one of them.

About Hezonja:
The thing I liked in that Madrid game was that he wasn't a spot up shooter only. He surprisingly(maybe just for me) had a real nice off the ball game. Ran a nice curl where he used a floater even though he could go all the way and he used some off screens really well on one position he almost looked like Curry(not to compare them or anything). His shot is smooth even his misses looked good. A little playmaking. Always a good thing to be able to run a PnR in the NBA.
You could as well see the potential on D but I wasn't thrilled w/ his stance and how he defended in the corner. Can't loose the ball. A simple 1-5 PnR, a back door cut from the wing, that's an easy layup and there is no chance for weakside help.
You could definitly see that he cares. Was talking to his teammates and showed some emotions. I could see him work w/ Gordon just fine especially w/ the international revolution that is going on in SLC.

#SM2SL

He's playing against real pros like Rudy Fernandez and Gustav Ayon. It's a higher level than the NCAAs. He's showing that he can compete physically, that he can play at pro speed and make impressive shots.

Locke did a pretty good breakdown of the market for Kanter. There really isn't much of a market for him. There will be a lot of big guy free agents... he'll be pretty far down the list. He'd be smart to kick the can down the road one year and take the QO. When the new deal kicks in he'll get better offers just because of the rising cap and the amount of teams that will have money.

I could see Milwaukee, Boston, Indiana, or the Lakers going after him... doubt he would be the number one target of any of those teams.

Interesting ideas. If you're Kanter, do you take a 3-4 year deal for 10 per this summer, or take the one year, 8 million, knowing next summer a 10 million per year deal becomes a 13-14 million per year in summer of 2016.

Good question, but do the Jazz ever offer him the qualifying offer or use his money to go after another high price free agent like Middleton on July 1st? It cannot be both, it's either or.

Aleksandar Vezenkov just had another monster game in Greece: 29pts(10/19FG, 5/10 3P FG, 4/6 FT), 14rbs(7 ORbs), 3 ast, 1 to in a 78:77 win of Aris vs PAOK. Scouts of the Suns were at the game...

Potential targets that are playing today.

Okafor
Towns
Johnson
WCS
Oubre
Looney
Winslow
Turner
Kaminsky
Booker
harrell
Alexander
etc

Towns had a good game earlier this week.

15 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks on 5/11 FG and 3/3 FT.

I still like his upside a lot.

Okafor is crushing ND. Winslow playing well too.

Notre Dame is just out of it. Players can't keep control of the ball when they're driving. Grant looks pretty bad.
