Following potential 2015 draftees

If Kaminsky is there I'd take him and forego trading other assets to move up... I'd try and use those assets to acquire one of the potentially available good vet pgs. After the draft teams will have showed their hands and we will have an idea of what is available. Both DX and Chad Ford have Frank available where we are picking and DL was watching Frank yesterday... Apparently he impressed and shot the lights out. The price has to be right to move up and if Frank, Booker, and Johnson are gone when we are picking I see if I can get a good return to move back. Gonna be an interesting night.

Ford also has a story where he asks if Frank is the best shooter in the draft and talked about how he did well in the workout... might be an insider deal. Someone else tweeted that he was really impressive, but I can't find it :(

Re-reading it looks like I said DL was impressed... I was meaning the DL was there and that people had mentioned he had impressed. My bad if that's how you read it... not what I meant... just doing twitter math.

Wouldn't mind us moving up in R2 to draft George de Paula. Not ready yet but his measurements are off the chart scary. Should be an awesome defensive PG someday.

Rodney Hood was even older when we drafted him and does not have crazy measurables or athletic ability.

A 6'8" shooting guard with long arms has great measurables. It also helps he can shoot and has a mid-range game and we all love him like a fat kid loves chocolate cake.

The point locke made was players that dont produce in their first two years dont make good nba players. Hood was good. Frank was not.

Pretty sure Hood was viewed more as a SF and his wingspan is barely longer than his height, iirc. He's not a physical beast.

Just geeked out on some Emmanuel Mudiay videos.

He's quite good. Elite physical tools and overall a very advanced PG game for his age, minus a streaky shooting stroke. Could be the best player in the draft. He should be in play for all picks #1-6.
Reminds me of d-will

I think hoods arms being really short was actually one of the big knocks on him

Well if we continue our pattern of drafting players that lost in the ncaa tournament then we will be getting kaminsky!

I still like Turner and Portis ahead of Kaminsky. I'm afraid players will just run by Kaminsky and he won't be able to keep up defensively.

He didn't play much so it's hard to say he didn't produce. He was behind a couple juniors his freshman year and then the same guys as a sophomore.

I'd love to see the numbers behind lockes statement... Basically the draft has a lot of luck to it... Kelly olynyk was terrible his first two years and took a year off... Came back for his 4th year and was pretty dang good. He's flawed but he's a really good third big right now. Frank will absolutely be better than him.

For every senior that busts I can find 5 freshman/sophomores with upside that bust.

How could anyone want Stephen Curry? He's not a PG, short for a SG, short arms, old, not a good defensive player. BEWARE TO ANYONR THAT WANTS 2 DARFT HIM.

Seniors who have had their stock shot because of age is one of the great market inefficiencies in talent acquisition. Cash in.

Kaminsky is faster than turner laterally.

How could that be? Everything is binary and nothing dynamic and nuanced in the world. Either you are just good or bad at all defense, right? Everything is length and "athleticism". Effort, savvy, and skill are worthless attributes. How could a 22 year possibly have any room to grow?

Again... When the main argument against a player starts with their age and not their skill, size, athleticism not sure that you've done enough homework.

Frank also led two... Two great final four runs. You guys can sleep on Frank all u want but his teams won and a lot if it was because of him.
