Following potential 2015 draftees

Whoa.. I may have to re-evaluate my mehness for Okafor (I like him a lot.. just didn't see the hype).

There is no link... but Calipari said he sees Okafor as 'easily' the best pro prospect in '15 (and he doesn't expect to land him, btw).
Cal said Okafor is skilled enough to 'change the position' in the league.

There were no cameras or mics.. just real talk. I'm on the bandwagon now.

Just read a site, it says Okafor's comparison is Derrick Favors. Is it a valid comparison?

I see a lot of Kanter in him, although he is ahead of Kanter skill wise at the same age - particularly in passing and reading defenses. His handle looks a little more secure than Kanter as well, rarely loses the ball. Kanter's ace in the hole could be the three point shot though.

Kanter's strength is another big difference.

Unsure why I am the least bit excited about it.. but DX is unveiling their first '15 mock draft in September.

Prolly because it's not that sexy next to the '14 one...
Wait until March '15 and excitement will kick in. Next summer will be all about circle jerking over the newest Jazz guy.

Told ya so.

Okafor is more like Cousins than Favors, tbh. Great IQ, good potential as a passer. 6'10 at age 17. Very different than Kanter. Definite all-star IMO, as long as he doesn't get sidetracked by the mental aspect of the game

Highly skilled offensive player that has some trouble with weight and not a great athlete. A slightly smaller, slightly more skilled Cousins. Favors would be the anti-comp.

He'll be very very good if he keeps the weight off and works his *** off. It will all come down to his work ethic.
