Following potential 2015 draftees

I would say Towns is the only can't-miss.
I'd say WCS also has a good career.
Booker with a good chance as well as Lyles.

I would guess 8 make a roster and 4 have multi-year careers, with two having great careers.
This UK team isn't stacked with talent as much as it deep and unselfish.

Some people of course think Dakari could be pretty good, but of course a lot of people thought Daniel Orton was going to be a player. the last time i heard about him he was kicked out of the Philipino league. Dont bad mouth Manny!

No. His school is legit. It's his basketball squad that is suspect. But they don't play ball, so not worried about it.
I'll share more if anyone cares to know.

Right that is why I said he was taking classes at another actual HS. Hand it to his US guardian for putting together the basketball team though. At least he is playing. The website for his prep academy still has nothing and the phone number is the voice mail for the guardian.

I just had an interesting thought. The most efficient shots are near to the hoop and 3s Which is why rim protectors are so important. Yet, two of the best defenses in the league are Houston (sorta) and Milwaukee - each without a rim protector for much of the year. Why are they so good? Answer: absurd athletic perimeter length. Perimeter length and athleticism allows you to close out on the 3, mitigating efficient perimeter shots.

Makes me rethink Oubre a bit, but only a bit. Still, something to ponder.

The prep academy is about 5 minutes from where i am at. I should go do some investigative reporting. :)

UK fans don't like Orton.
Dakari is too slow and can't jump.

Qi according to Ford could actually be a first round pick so scouts will watch him closely.

Apparently Scouts don't rate Johnson much at all... It would be amazing if he falls as far as the 12th pick:

Scouts have been split on Oubre, Hezonja, Winslow and Johnson all season. But when recently polling scouts, it was clear that Johnson might be losing some ground. While he has an NBA body and a reputation as a winner, he's struggled a bit lately -- not only with his shooting but also with major defensive lapses. His play against Utah (3-for-19 from the field along with some lazy defense) earned him a spot on the bench. The scouts who have closely watched Johnson say that his reputation hasn't always lived up to his play this season.

He's not the athlete everyone says he is, nor does he have the motor everyone says he does. As one veteran scout said: "He takes plays off. His motor isn't always great and with the exception of a great NBA body, his tools aren't all they're made out to be. He struggles to finish at the rim. In my opinion, he's the most overhyped player in the draft."

Interesting. I wonder if Sean Miller goes more easy on Johnson than Self does on Oubre. Maybe if Johnson were on Kansas, hed be riding pine too.

I guess moral of the story is, all these kids are... kids.

Yeah, even if all that's true about Johnson, he'd still be a great pick at 12 for us.

Johnson's like last year's Julius Randle. Scouts seem to look at them too hard and overthink their decision. Meanwhile guys like Turner or Looney (i.e., last year's Vonleh) gets a free pass.

BTW Oubre to me is this year's Smart... muahahahahaha..
