Following potential 2015 draftees

For what people say negative about Towns' athleticism, he outjumped Portis at the tip. Not the end all, but it's something.

Towns will be better than Okafor... Everytime I watch them both I'm more convinced.

Great video of Kaminsky.

His ball handling and passing aren't talked about enough. He's an underrated athlete too; much more mobile and fluid than you'd think.

I'm normally hesitant to draft seniors, but I'm liking Kaminsky more and more. He'd give our front line a very different dimension and he could contribute right away to help our playoff push.

I wouldn't have a problem with Kaminsky at 12-14. Rock solid jump shooter, good passer, and some really slippery post moves as well.
Only thing is then Tomic probably wouldn't be coming over as the available minutes wouldn't justify it, so you would essentially be wasting an asset.

Meh, I don't think Tomic will make his decision based on whether we draft Kaminsky. I'm sure he would think he's better than a college player.

I think by draft time the Jazz will probably know whether or not Tomic really intends come over. If he can't commit at that time, the true answer is that he's using the threat of going to the NBA to force Barcelona to give him a bigger contract.

We need another center. If Gobert misses a game, that forces Favors to play the 5. And when Derrick rests...? Kaminsky would be a very good choice at 11 or 12.

The slow mo replay + Gladiator music makes him look like Pau Gasol with a 3pt shot.

I'm in.

Yeah, also with either Gobert or Favors in the middle as anchors, I think you can sorta hide Kaminsky a bit on defense as well. But offensively he should be better than Booker.

FWIW Kaminsky projects somewhat similar to Olynyk. Despite Kelly being nonathletic and alligator armed, he has the 12th highest RPM at center (higher than Gobert).
And remember the Jazz did like Olynyk at 12 before the Trey trade up became available. The power of floor spacing.

Wow... Kaminsky with some big plays down the stretch here. Nice low post move, followed by a long 3.

He's a winner offensively, nerve of steel too.

LOL .. then Kaminsky just got scored on twice in a row, a 3pter over him, and a driving layup over him. I don't want another "Kanter" on the defensive end but he is looking like one.

Even though Burke may well turn into a better player (and he's not IMO half bad right now) I think we should find a suitor to take Burke off our hands. Then, draft Kris Dunn out of Providence College. The big knock against him has been his propensity for turnovers, but he has actually improved his ball security quite a bit over the last few months. Defensively, he's awesome. He's a great distributor, ball handler, and he has NBA size at the 1. He would make a great backup to Exum and if we held on to Bryce Cotton, you'd have two guys that have played a couple of years together already. Cotton would make a great third option at PG.

Pre-Tourney, NBADraft.net has him going early in the second round while DraftExpress has him going 17th overall in the first round. I do believe he has a good amount of upside and will be a solid player for whomever drafts him. I hope it's us, depending on how far our pick falls with how well the team's been playing lately.

I suppose if we can get our Matt Bonner I'd be cool with it. I hate to say that Kaminsky just doesn't excite me tho.

I like Kaminsky and if Jazz took him then he must be a good prospect.
But right now he does not look quick enough, strong enough, tough enough to be taken as a lottery pick.
There is a role for him though on an NBA roster.

But is there a reason Olynyk is only getting 23.5min per game this year? I mean he hardly was on the floor when we played BOS? I wonder if the lack of defense is keeping him off the floor?

Wisconsin won it in the OT. Kaminsky's final line: 19pts, 5reb, 4asssists, 1blk, 2-4 from 3pt.

There was a shot of him celebrating, trying to catch the confetti with his mouth. OH brother...
