The league executive agreed to a certain extent but still foresees issues for Okafor defensively. "Let's assume that argument is right with Duke—that he was saved, he was never coached and he wants to play D," he said. "He's still not going to block shots. He's also going to have a hard time chasing around perimeter 4's. He's an offensive-minded 5. I think with Okafor, you need a guy like [Serge] Ibaka next to him—a guy that cleans up the glass and blocks shots." Is Okafor just "Bigger" Al Jefferson?

Here's a great interview with Dennis Lindsey about the draft and the prospects:

Love how much he reveals about the process even without revealing specifics.

(on the rudy evaluation)

"we thought that draft was a unique draft as there were, uh, several kids 6'10 and above who we thought were good kids who liked to play basketball, that in time would be good players, KOC stated that before anyone else"

****ing hilarious.. I created an account here to discuss exactly that, back in 2012. Its deleted now on username; Pootie Tang. was literally my first post tho: a list of about 10 players 6'11 and above, (of course Rudy was on it).. hahahhaa

Anyway, Good Luck tonight my fellow Jazz fans.

DX's new mock has us picking Kaminsky...

The Jazz have built one of the most talented young rosters in the NBA, with an exciting blend of talented length and athleticism . Outside shooting has long been a priority of this new regime, and with that in mind, drafting one of the best shooters available in Frank Kaminsky could make a lot of sense. As good as the Rudy Gobert/Derrick Favors 4/5 combo is defensively, it would be helpful to have a real stretch 4 to plug in at times to help the team's spacing.

I am not terribly concerned about what the Jazz do this draft. I like the roster and I like a number of players in the Jazz's range. There's really not a player of those in the projected range that I would be too upset with, but I do particularly like Kaminsky, Turner, and Portis. Booker and Dekker also.

AKA IDK

I would really really like Johnson or Winslow but I don't think that's happening. I'd love to be wrong.

I like those guys too. And Johnson (if he happens to fall to 12).

Im liking the Kaminsky pick right now, he fills a much needed need on this team.

I have a really hard time believing he'll be there. Yeah he's ancient (for a prospect) and he's not strong, long, or explosive, but his skill-level is really broad and really deep, he competes, he's mobile, and he doesn't **** up. Someone has to fall in love with him, Jimmer went top-10 for god's sake and he was a small, selfish, soft turd.

Especially when you consider that both Gobert and Favors are defensive bigs, we have a hole to fill for an offensively minded big who could shoot to space the floor.

Kaminsky. Turner. Portis.

There are a few to choose from in this draft.

Jimmer is the best college scorer I've ever seen.
