At No. 4, expect that the Knicks draft pick will be very available in trade talks.

Do we love anyone enough at 4 to do something? (Russell will be gone)

No. They'll want way more than the value of the pick.

I wouldn't trade up for the 4th pick. Russell is going to be gone and I think that is where Tier 1 drops off, though I think the Jazz stated they think the draft has 4 in the first tier, so maybe we would be interested.

Like Dr. J said, we won't be trading up to 4 because the price will be too high. Exum ain't getting traded, so everyone just get that out of your head right now.

Strange that on my first 3 looks I didn't want Booker. Now that I have learned more about him from measurements, interviews and athletic testing I will be disappointed if we don't get him. And I know that portents a trade for our wing players. And it almost has to be Burks because his mental game doesn't appear to be that same level as our other wings. Though we could wait a few years to see.

If we add a talented guard, then Burke is on the block before Burks, regardless of whether that new guard is a "point guard" or not. Quote me.

I like a lot of the guys at 12, but dream scenario for me is trading up for Porzingis. I honestly think he'll be the best player in the draft and he plays the position we most need - a stretch big who actually has the body and athleticism to be a two way player with big upside in the future. I wouldn't expect big things next year, but anyone we draft will have the luxury of being brought along slowly. I could see the Magic listening to an offer of 12 and a future first rounder along with dumping Channing Frye on us for #5. May need a sweetener, but it seems like a good start.
