Following potential 2015 draftees

Trade up for either George Lucas De Paula or Mouhammadou Jaiteh. Both draft picks and cash should get it done. I think both of those kids have really high upside.

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Ex-UCLA F Kevon Looney quelled concern about his "sports asthma" by recently getting through Jazz workout in tough altitude, NBA exec said.

Give me Stanley Johnson and then either George Lucas De Paula and/or Mouhammadou Jaiteh. It'll take maneuvering, but I'd be very happy with that draft.

Don't know if this was mentioned before, but the first thing Locke asked Looney was whether he could always shoot like that - I came away with the impression that he shot very well in the workout. Tony Jones also made reference that he had heard Looney was better than Portis in the workout. If we target Looney, we should try and move down and fleece the Celtics while we're at it.

My revised wish list.

Dekker
Kaminsky
Hunter
Johnson
Lyles
Looney
Payne
Portis
Turner

This is after some extensive video review. I would be soooooo happy with any one of these guys. Dekker is my new man crush at the 12th pick. Dekker can be the stretch 4 we need with none of the defensive, athletic concerns that come with Kaminsky. There arent many pf's or sf's that can guard him. Out quicking bigs and overpowering sf's. Has great handles as a stretch 4 while still being a skilled sf. Think he would create some interesting matchup problems for opposing defenses. Think he will be a nice two way player who plays with tons of intensity and fire and think he's a coach Q type of player.

Exum
Hayward
Dekker
Favors
Gobert

The athletic ability and length and defense in that lineup is insanely wonderful. I think Dekker's the pick and should be there.

Lol. Completely shocked there are 9 players I want with pick #12. This is a damned deep draft. I'm excited to see who we pick

Also with so many interesting prospects. A couple teams above us are bound to fall in love with a few of these guys allowing one of two things. Allowing us to trade up easier or have a prospect move down to our spot we didn't think would be available. Should be an exciting draft

Like most of those dudes as well.

My official "guys", who I think will wind up performing above their current projections(or at for the very top guys):

1st rounders:
Towns(draftexpress #1)
Russell(#3)
WCS(#6)
Johnson(#8)
Kaminsky(#9)
Looney(#20)
Anderson(#23)
De Paula(#29)

2nd rounders:
Luwawu(#31)
Jaiteh(#35)
Holmes(#41)
Kaba(#44)

And Upshaw if he stays on the court.

List of guys that I would be happy with drafting at #12 (realistically):

Turner
Kaminsky
Looney
Booker
Oubre
Dekker
Lyles
Portis
Hollis-Jefferson
Hunter
Payne

I think we will have a lot to choose from on draft day, so let's get our guy.

The way Looney described his condition it seems like his asthma is a problem only some days and no problem on others. The day of his workout with the Jazz was one of the good days. It still would be a problem if it's not easily manageable/fixable condition.

I will say if Looney has his medical conditions on point and all that, I might prefer him over Portis. It would be a pretty even tie.

Yah, I've been warming up to him as well... lol... If our management decides they can work with his condition, I'm all good with selecting him...

Spears also reported Looney is working out for all but one team in the 8-15 range. Unless his hip or asthma are major problems, he's probably going in the lottery.

I think Winslow is a bit overrated, or at least his stock is at a high right now. He's a good athlete and defender, he's great in the open floor, he rebounds...but his scoring instincts are limited right now, he's actually not that explosive off the dribble and he's not that aggressive offensively. He could be more of a complementary player. I think Hezonja is the better player and Oubre could also pass him a couple years down the line.

@SHowardCooper: How fast is Cameron Payne moving up draft boards? Murray State PG has workouts scheduled for Lakers (2) and Knicks (4). Very interesting.

Unlikely, but him being there at 12 could give us some significant leverage to move up.
