Following potential 2015 draftees

Hayward will probably be a coaches pick for the allstar game this year. Hell!! With gobert we could have two in the allstar game this coming year with Gobert joining. And Exum and Hood in the future stars game. There are only 3-4 guys in the entire league that put up the numbers Hayward puts up. The only reason u trade a player like Hayward is if u don't think u can resign him like with D-Will. If Hayward makes a similar improvement like he made last year he will be a star. His next progression is to be more aggressive in demanding the ball because he does tend to disappear for long stretches of a game. If the jazz were to trade Hayward for Russ wouldn't that signal the start of yet another rebuild, which means Exum is gone. Hell, let's get rid of everyone and start a full on rebuild. No one is denying tat Russ is good but damn?! So is Hayward.

Man, give me some of whatever you are sipping on.

I backed off my post and said it was premature, but damn Hayward better average 25, 7, 7 next year the way some of you are talking. Funny how a year changes things, one year you say let Hayward walk because he is greedy but now he is untradeable. Lol, maybe DL knew there would be a huge cap change and this contract would look like a steal.

It's a good thing I'm not a scout, I fall in love with a lot of players. Just saw the Booker's workout video. His shot is pretty sweet and he looked a lot more athletic than I thought he was. He could duplicate Hood in our system, but you can never have enough good shooters.

where is bookers work out video

Well ya, in 13-14 season Hayward was struggling big time. Then in 14-15 season he was our best player in most games and shined on the court with all star numbers.

Of course a lot of jazz fans changed how they felt about him. He changed who he was as a basketball player.

Let me ask you, Fish, why you like Oubre. Maybe he's great but I'm probably being influenced by the plethora of wings already on the roster and wasn't sure he was an upgrade on any of them. (Burkes, Hayward, Hood, Millsap, Ingles)

i dont like oubre because of his work ethic and attitude

There's some risk here that he's a bit of a diva and won't take to dat Utah life. I think his motor and work ethic are fine though. It's hard to say. There could be some truth to the idea that he plays hard when he wants to---like he played well, raised his draft stock, then let up a bit.

Oubre is so prototypical with the right mix of athleticism, length and shooting touch, that he probably will end up having a bigger impact than Winslow and Johnson. He has that potential for sure, if he'll apply himself.

From Chad Ford's last chat, doesn't think the Jazz like Oubre, I would probably agree.

Chet (LA)

In your most recent mock draft you had Myles Turner to the Jazz. As a Jazz fan, I think that would be AMAZING! Do you really think he could be there at 12? A front court of Favors/Gobert/Turner could be fearsome in 2 years!
Chad Ford (1:54 PM)

Yes. He could be there. I don't think he SHOULD be there. I think he's one of the top 10 talents in this draft, but may fall there just based on teams drafting for need. The Jazz should jump all over that if he's there. That front court would be awesome and Turner's ability to stretch the floor will be valuable. I also think a wing shooter -- someone like Devin Booker or Kelly Oubre would be a good -- though I don't think they love Oubre. Not sure he's a personality fit with the Jazz. I like R.J. Hunter here too, though it might be a little high for him. Trey Lyles and Bobby Portis are other options. Portis would be a fan favorite. Guy plays his butt off. Lyles brings a lot of what Carlos Boozer brings to the table. And I can't leave out Frank Kaminsky. He too can stretch the floor. In other words, lots of good options for the Jazz at 12.

I think the Jazz should spend a couple assets, move up to 9 or 8 and not leave anything to chance. Figure out who their guy is and go get him.
