What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

There's certainly worse ways they could use the pick and Turner could play some 4 for the Jazz.

I wonder how he stacks up vs the bigs in the NBA currently; he can out shoot most of them from 18ft, but in other area's (sans blocks & ft's) he's less than serviceable, at least as a rookie.

(IMO) Vs. the primetime bigs he'd obviously get schooled

I do want to see footage of this new and improved mobility though, to nitpick through it (Is there any?). If he's a project this is pivotal, the old stuff used to legit drive me crazy, and I can detail it quite well... I'd call it awkward, unsuccinct, 'herky-jerky' or even 'Mutombo-esque' which are damn near redflags when talking lottery prospects. After the 2014 Nike Hoops summit, which he left early from, I had to wonder if his movements would manifest into being injury prone and foul prone.
I just want him to be able to out run hibbert

There isn't any game footage I am aware of. However DX has this:

and this workout video

If you take a look back at Hayward's rookie video and at Hayward now you can see a difference in knee bend and the power of strides. I think Turner is missing the same kind of hip flexibility as Hayward did.

Well damn, after watching that video and wiping the tears away how can anybody not like Turner.
**** it, I'm in

BTW selecting him only for his personality and smarts, would be a mistake. Selecting him for his physical tools and potential and taking into account the role his personality and smarts will play into building his body and game would be good.

He moves well in a fullcourt sprint in this workout vid, but that's really it; This footage doesn't lead me to believe he's really improved much at all. I still see these odd habits he has, he still looks like hes ready to start skipping at any moment..

unnecessary 'start-up' choppy steps(3:17).. when he's dribbling around shooting midrange shots or posting up vs the contact pads, he still looks to be a bit plodding, and kind of hunched forward... plus whats with these baby steps?! 2:08 - 2:10 what is exactly going on there? why is his stride so choppy? 2:26, There's something about that that strikes me as unbalanced or nonathletic. I fear it could be exacerbated when you factor in much stronger competition, and the accelerated pace of an NBA game.

His shooting mechanics are really incredibly pure for a 4/5, in that aspect he's like a stationary Skal Labissiere

You have to remember that he's just started working on clearing his movement. From what I read, he has some specific movement exercises to do while all is implanted in his muscle memory and he starts doing it naturally, rather than forced.

Not sure I'm interested in Kaminsky anymore. It's sounding like he may not even want to play here in Utah now. Hearing he has a list of three teams he wants to play for. Indiana being one of them. I don't know who the othe two are though.

Indiana is close to his home town (in Illinois). Also might figure he will get buried on the bench if Tomic comes over.

That's pretty much why he's he is in our range. If he didn't have issues like he does then he would be drafted much higher.

Attn: NBA executives, Kelly Oubre just called his shot: "Whoever calls my name on draft night, I’m going to help them win a championship."

Indiana worked out both Turner and Kaminsky today. Here are a few tweets regarding it:

When Kaminsky did finish inside for a layup, he was set up nicely by guard T.J. McConnell's drive that drew Turner temporarily away from rim

Kaminsky didn't finish inside when around a defender (once blocked by Turner, twice bothered by smaller guards). Looked better on perimeter

We saw Frank Kaminsky come into Wandos with a girl on each arm. He ignored everyone and acted like a jerk. Walked out by himself. #KARMA
