Following potential 2015 draftees

Just got the measurements for @kporzee from @impactbball! 7'1.25" w/out shoes, 7'6 wingspan, 230 lbs. Longest wingspan in the draft.

Freak!! He's a good inch taller than Gobert.

Thabeet sized... he's actually 1/4 inch taller than Hasheem, and he's a 19 y/o PF...

How crazy would it be to have him Rudy and Favors, they'd block out the sun.

This George Karl and DeMarcus Cousins story is outrageous, someone's going to get ripped off really bad in that deal if it goes down 3 ways. Vivek's ownership seems like its still stumbling out of the gate going into its second year. Reading about Shareef Abur-Rahim quitting last year on draft night becase they didn't take Elfrid Payton is too funny. Once again, this totally seems like amateur hour.

He was still playing????????

There is some degree of fishiness that it's the gym he is paying to workout in that is reporting the numbers.

Wouldn't they have incentive to fluff his #'s to make him look bigger?

I think we all agree with that.. but it would have to be close or the gym is a forever joke from now on.

I would have guessed he was about 6'11 w/o shoes, tops. I doubt they fudged by 2". (although I do on the reg)

Haha I wish. Always had a ton of respect for Shareef, dude was on some ****ty teams.

Sounds like the Kings do this thing where they rely on old players. Mitch Richmond, Shareef Abdur Raheem, and now Vlade Divac (who's hiring came with a funny, rather unprofessional story. he was hired to do other peoples jobs and they weren't notified).

How the **** did they hire a coach who wants to get rid of DeMarcus.. Thats insane. I presume Karl wasn't saying that when he was trying to get hired, now that he's got a deal he's trying to undermine ownership.. seems like Knicks levels of ineptitude.

Yeah. Problem for SAC is they probably HAVE to trade Cousins.. and there are about 25 teams that should be standing in that trade line.

At the very least Porz is 7' w/o shoes, which still means he's just about the same size as Rudy. I wouldn't be suprised if those #'s are correct though. Ya gotta remember (and i actually have difficulty finding this source, but i read it a year ago) that when Porz first signed with Sevilla he was near 6'7 and 150lbs and was absolutely viewed as skinny nondescript SF prospect..

So this is a classic late-blooming story and he's still 19. Even if those #'s are fudged slightly he could grow into them. I do firmly believe he's at least 7' w/o shoes. there's only a handful of players that tall in the NBA.

Have you been this suspicious about numbers last year when guys like LaVine's camp had spread measurement numbers and athletic results conducted by a 3rd party that had an interest to round up?

The number on your vertical isn't that important at all. Having a 42'' vert vs a 44'' vert is basically irrelevant in the game other than dunk contest. So I didn't really care, it was all just fun.

Porzingis having near Gobert length and size with his athletic is something that is extremely relevant.

Also, LaVine posted a huge vertical at the combine, so we had an official reference to go off of.

There's always politics involved. Who do those numbers really deceive though, the teams?? fat chance. Maybe I'm being presumptuous but since the Yi Jianlian age fiasco teams had to have wised up on fact checking.

These private vertical #'s, like LaVine, and probably Russell's 39" were with extra steps allowed, thats why I like to see the no-step too.. Point being; these #'s are released for the plebs anyway, its hype, early forming of a narrative on a player.

Pat Connaughton could prove to be a pristine example. He is infact worthy of being drafted in the 2nd rd based on strictly the tape IMO. The story of that vertical, and perhaps its controversy will be told plenty if he makes it though.

Jay Bilas is a homer duke fan at heart. Still saying Okafor is better than Towns, and he's actually trying to justify it. Did he not just see the type of ball that was being played in the NBA Playoffs?!

Not a suprise to any of us....

Marc D'Amico@celtics
"Danny Ainge says, "We're having discussions to move up w/ both of our picks in the 1st round. We're hoping to move up w/ at least one."

A. Sherrod Blakely@SherrodbCSN
"Ainge says he would prefer not to have four new players on the roster via this draft. #Celtics have picks 16, 28, 33 and 45. "

Sam Amico@SamAmicoFSO
Celtics president Danny Ainge predicts a lot of movement on night of NBA Draft (Thursday): "Stay tuned."

Sacramento is a dumpster fire as long as their owner keeps sticking his stupidness into basketball decisions they will continue to be a dumpster fire.

Just noticed that ESPN des not have Stanley Johnson in their top 10 draft chart...
