What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

Okay.... I am getting a TON of stuff right now from the once-every-four-years summer practices.

Spoke with two scouts in attendance at the last two practices. They both, individually, claim Dakari Johnson will be the best center in college this year (not the best NBA potential).

Also Andrew Harrison is said to be leaner, faster, stronger, and light years more poised. (not that we need a PG)

I have, literally, dozens of paragraphs of info.. but I'll be respectful of the tl;dr's.

We need him to get better so that Karl Towns falls to us.

Like I said earlier, I've been getting tons of info from these early practices. Interesting tidbit a guy told me today, is that UK's starting lineup this coming season is bigger than every NBA team's starting lineup but OKC. I have no idea if that's true, btw.

PKM, talking about UK, can you inform about the current NCAA rules about the ineligibility? Is it still the same that ruled Enes ineligible? Asking cause, there is a rumor that UK wants our Egemen Güven and offered him a scholarship.

He was the MVP of the U18 tournament and he is one of the top big men prospects of Turkey. He is playing at the youngsters branch of a Turkish team(Karşıyaka) and has played only 2 mins in Turkish pro league and I don't think he got paid anything like Enes. But there are already offers to him from big clubs like Fener, Efes and Galatasaray and he might accept one of them and get paid so that would probably make him immediately ineligible. Unless if any changes happened with the rules.

LOL @ Poythress still being on the team. Is he still planning to play in the NBA?

Thanks a lot, PKM. Nice to know they are at least interested in him. Because the kid has a very high potential.

And I hope he gets that offer at the end. NCAA would be very beneficial to his game. He can gain strength there. Because his biggest weakness at this stage is his upper body strength. But he has a nice, wide and long frame to add muscle to fix that issue and NCAA environment would be perfect for it.

Despite his lack of strength, I'm very high on him. He's a very finesse and efficient big man at 6-10 already with quite long arms. Reminds a shorter Pau Gasol to many Euro scouts, but with a better defense. He already has a more polished and richer post game than Enes and he also has a decent mid jumper.

He averaged 13.8 pts, 6.9 rbs, 1.8 blks with %60.7 FG in just 22.8 mins per game in the last U18. And he had a brilliant game against Spain with 21 pts, 18 rbs and 5 blks. But unlike Enes, he has been playing in youth NT teams that stacked with many high potential players, so he doesn't get a big role like Enes did.

Super duper glad to know he's a better person than Enes. For sure.

Enes is a very good kid, sir. But he's just a weird one.

And don't judge us because we are getting angry at him. It's because we love him. And by we, I mean us, the Turkish posters on here. Errr, or at least, me, myself and I.
