Following potential 2015 draftees

That Kaminsky character is a bit more skilled than Kelly Olynyk, but I don't think I he'll impact the game much more. Not high on him right now.

we added 57 posts to this thread in under 4 hours .. not bad. We should charge NBA teams for all this analysis.

Agree. Peep his game-by-game stats. He kills it against cupcakes and does nothing against future NBAers.

Against G'Town (not even that good), 6pts and 4rbs.

I would be thrilled with top 5.

Well I kinda have this feeling that this is truly our FINAL tank year. Basketball God must surely reward us for that. (the same way he/she rewarded the atrocious Clippers and the Cavs these past few years).

There's something wrong with the way Myles Turner runs and moves laterally. Did he have a big growth spurt or something? It may be related to his back and core strength.

LOL.. ya. Hate comps.. they rarely really work.

1. Okafor - Horford / Al Jeff.. WAY polished big man with a high floor but I think will be somewhat limited ceiling because somewhat below the rim guy.

2. Towns - hmmm.. Marc Gasol with NBA range? I don't really know.

3. Mudiay - John Wall (many of the same strengths and weaknesses) / Tyreke Evans

4. Johnson - Thad Young / Iguodala

So we gave up Al J so we could tank to draft...the next Al J?

Now that's some serious dump truckin'.

I think he grew 4" from 9th to 10th grade, 3" from 10th to 11th, and another 2.5" by start of college.

That's a lot of growing.. but not sure how it may have impacted him. No opinion there.

Towns is such a weird ****ing player. There is no comp for him. Maybe a Kanter/Gasol combo.

I'm not convinced Towns will ever be a solid defender in the NBA. Unfortunately, it's impossible to determine at the collegiate level because he's so humongous. Impo, he looks like he'll be able to defend post ups quite well, but will be slow defending the pnr and soft at the rim. Even if all that turns out to be the case, he still shows the potential of eventually being able to shoot from anywhere, make proper passes, and post up mother****ers.

Actually, Derrick Coleman was a comp I though of for Towns, a big and talented lefty with 3-pt range. The young version of Sam Perkins might also apply. I keep thinking of old-school players.

Who reminds you of Okafor then? I thought Coleman is a dead ringer, big, long, not overly athletic but has post moves to burn.
