Following potential 2015 draftees

ALBA Berlin vs Barcelona is about to start. If you want to watch Hezonja play ...

Hm... Barcelona's coach has absolutely no tolerance to mistakes by the young players. He got Hezonja in, had one defensive possession, on the following offensive possession he turned the ball over which resulted into and-1 transition by ALBA and he took him out, right away. he was on the floor for about 30-40 seconds.

Hezonja back in in the second quarter...
-takes a rebound and outruns everybody for the transition dunk.
(the euroleague has a weird rule, where the clock resets to 14, and not to 24 after the ball hits the rim and the offensive team gets the rebound)

4th Q:
-Hezonja goes to the rim in traffic and is fouled. Makes 1 of 2.
-Hezonja posts up, turns to his right and knocks down a 10 foot jumper.
(horrible defense by Barcelona. No rotations, no penetration defense, failed zone attempts. They are losing by 15... )
-Hezonja misses a 3pt.
-great pass in transition by Hezonja...

End of game. Hezonja finished with 5pts(2/3 shooting, 0/1 from 3, 1/2 FT), 2rbs, 1ast, 1to in 18 minutes of play.

How's that rule weird? The NBA afaik has a rule that after fouls that do not lead to free throws with less less than 14 sec remaining for the possession, the shotclock is reset to 14 and when it's between 14 and 24 it simply stays the same? Why would an offensive board that starts the attack in the half court give you full 24?

Because we invented basketball and that is the original rule. Any rule that isn't is weird. Weird Europeans.

I guess it's just as arbitrary in the NBA. It's more that I'm not used to it... so it was weird to see.

Agree with you on both.

Harrison's have slid on my board BIG TIME. But there's no way there are 60 better players. I would probably have;

Andrew - #25 - 30
Aaron - #28 - 33
Looney - #9 - 12

I cannot agree with you about the Harrisons.

I'm not saying there are 60 better players, but they're 2nd round players IMO.

They have, literally no excuses for not playing well. In their 2 years in college, they have played with more talent than anybody else. Their teams literally always have the talent advantage. Yet they still can't take advantage of that. They have good size, and a good reputation. Seems like they generally don't have a great attitude, and neither one of them is a true, or even good PG. The one who is supposed to be the good shooter is shooting ~ 28% from 3 if I remember correctly.

Basically, I see no reason to believe they should be better in the pros. Their talent advantage will most likely be gone, their size advantage lessened, and they certainly won't get past anybody to get in the lane or make open shots…they can't do that in college now, they probably won't be able to do it in the NBA. I don't see why anybody takes them 1st round.

I could see andrew having a decent career as a back up pg but most likely a 3rd string. homeytinnes will love them in the dleague.

Aaron is average at best with his measurements and that is not good for a 2 guard.

What we're saying isn't all that different.

Most 2nd rounders don't pan out... I think they have a real shot at being long time players, but never starters.. sounds like end of first/beginning of second type players. Placing them in specific spots be damned.

They just saw that on TV. Damn!

I'm completely convinced Okafor is one of those prospects who is worth dismantling a team to tank for and being ridiculed in the process. This guy is incredible. He's doing whatever he pleases in the paint and also has 4 blocks so far.
