How would you feel about a Porter for Kanter trade?

Lyles looks like a guy who can fit smoothly in a system and perform well. I'm not saying he's an alpha dog or go-to scorer, but I think he could fit in to a high-level team and contribute every night as a versatile and complementary player. He's got a decent IQ and nice skill set. That said, I still like the top-3 guys, Porzingis, Hezonja and Winslow ahead of Lyles. I'm okay with Johnson too.
I can agree with that also. Top three are probably going to stay that way, but then after that, I like some variation of Hezonja, Porzingis, Winslow or Johnson. Russell is quickly moving up my board also. I just want the Jazz to draft their highest rated player, regardless of need or position. I personally think that Mario Hezonja is going to be a beast down the road. He's probably the guy I'd like most that I think they can realistically get.

This option wasn't listed, but the Jazz have a boatload of assets. I'd rather keep Kanter, but would be willing to consider trade opportunities that don't include Kanter. Burke/Hood plus a (2016/2017) draft pick would be more palatable for my tastes.

Very interesting.

The way Utah has improved, I could see them finishing with the #12 pick. They're only 2 back of Denver and Sacramento who are currently tied for 11th/12th.

We have been playing super **** teams of late. We will start dropping again when we start playing Western playoff teams again and those teams get their crack at the bottom of the league.

That's exactly how I feel. Just browsing through the top 12 or so and throwing out some names. I'll need to watch Hezonja - or not - it doesn't really matter in the end. Any of dem wings would be cool doe, tbh imabbpo

Oh no, I'm not writing anyone off. I understand young, inexperienced players don't come in and star in the league and that it often takes years to become a starter. It just seemed like there was a substantial bit of hype for Vonleh, while Lyles (while getting lotsa love here) doesn't seem to garner the same adulation. I can't understand why not. He looks like he'll be a solid defender and looks much more fluid and makes quicker decisions on offense than Vonleh does/did. Not sure either one will ever have much of a driving game, despite what PKM says about his handles. Vonleh has decent handles, but no explosion to get by his man on the first step. I need to watch Lyles more to get a sense of his athleticism. Didn't really pay attention last time.

I made a crucial typo in my post. But seems like you spotted it.
Last year Vonleh really got traction during the late pre draft phase. Efficient numbers, lone bright spot on Indiana and gigantic measurements.
I don't think Vonleh is going to be an outside perimeter playmaker, unless he can develop that LaMarcus Aldridge midrange post/faceup game. But I don't expect that because that's a rare quality.
He brings a lot of talent, like boxing out, defensive potential, developing post game for a PF.

When I watch Lyles(saw like 2 partial Kentucky games because college basketball is boring and no good free streams) the NBA skill I see is getting to free space. Reminds me of a healthy Channing Frye. Impact player potential.

Bayless calls Okafor Duncan-esque. I think that's a bit of a hyperbole. On the offensive end, I think calling Okafor a young Tim Duncan is fine, but Duncan was always a machine on defense too. Okafor hasn't shown that.

OT: There are some very nice SF's coming into the following drafts behind this one. I mention it only because there seemed to have been a short period where they were pretty scarce.

Upside can be deceptive!
