didn't watch, but people from the south are more alive, have more fun, than any 400 dudes livin' in the north. We know how to have fun... you wouldn't understand.

How would you rate Booker compared to Stauskas in their first years and projecting for the future? I haven't watched Booker enough to know if they were/are comparable players, but it seems like Stauskas was more of a creator since he was asked to do more, and a better rebounder. Their physical measurements are nearly identical (Stauskas 0.25inch taller, 1.5inch longer wingspan, 2inch longer standing reach, 1 pound heavier, 2 inch shorter no-step vert, identical 35.5inch vert per draftexpress).
Their freshman year stats are also extremely similar (Stauskas 0.2 more PPG, 1.4 more RPG, exact same APG, 0.1 more SPG)

Roy is a better comparison to Russell not booker.
Any talk about Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot yet? He threw his name in the early entry NBA draft early this February https://basketball.realgm.com/wiret...uwawu-Cabarrot-Plans-Early-Entry-In-NBA-Draft
I like the dude. Potential 3/D candidate that could be had with our early 2nd rounder.
Not too shabby if I do say so.

That ain't even a step-back though.

Kevon Looney - Utah Jazz
COLLEGE: UCLA
HT: 6-10WT: 210
POS: PF
Jazz's chances of winning lottery: 4.3 percent
The Jazz, like the Timberwolves, are loaded with young talent right now. Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors have played well enough this season to get All-Star consideration. Dante Exum and Rudy Gobert both have very bright futures. And the Jazz have several other young players, including Alec Burks, Trey Burke and (if they don't trade him) Enes Kanter. So the Jazz don't have any major needs that have to be addressed, freeing them up to draft the best player still on the board. Right now that's Looney, a long, versatile forward who can play the 3 and 4. He's the only freshman in the country averaging a double-double this season. I've been using Lamar Odom as a comp for him, but my colleague Kevin Pelton says Looney's statistical profile is more reminiscent of Kawhi Leonard.
Strengths:
-Solid frame. Big shoulders. Should be able to fill out nicely
-Good wingspan (7-1)
-Plays extremely hard
-Excellent rebounder
-Very competitive defensively
-Guards multiple positions
-Gets in passing lanes. Blocks shots
-Decent shooting mechanics. Can make a spot-up 3-pointer
-Uses shot fakes to open up driving lanes
-Unselfish player. Does all the little things. Doesn't mind doing the dirty work
Weaknesses:
-Somewhat stuck between the 3 and the 4 offensively
-Doesn't have a consistent means of scoring right now except via offensive glass
-Flat-footed jumper with a slow release
-Average ball-handler
-No left hand
-No real post game
I'm not a big fan of combo forwards... It never works really well. If he is a good three point shooter that would change things. Everyone gets excited about these types and then it end up like theses doods Beasley, Thad Young, Anthony Bennett, Jeff Green, etc.
I think he is more likely an Abdur Rahim type player. If Johnson was still on the board I'd be pissed if we took Looney.
