Following potential 2015 draftees

I would take either of those at pick 7.

What if that is the upside and Marvin Williams is the floor?

I just think those type of guys are replaceable... we could have the real Thad Young or Jeff Green this offseason.

Here's a scouting video.

I don't think I've watched him play a full game... so I can't add anything to that video.

I like him. We really gotta go after some great perimeter defenders.

Really scared that Luwawu will go in the first round. He could be a haul for Utah. Hopefully we get a late first rounder for Kanter

Plus for some reason UCLA prospect are always underrated.

Draft Express:

Seems like a good risk/upside pick at the 8-11 range

"Unselfish player. Does all the little things. Doesn't mind doing the dirty work. Plays extremely hard. Guards multiple positions"

Sounds like a player Lindsey would LOVE.

Yeah I like him if the FO is convinced he can play the 3. Otherwise I'd rather take Porzingis as the back-up 4/5.

Ford just released Mock 3.0

For Jazz:

There's going to be a couple players drafted 5-12 that are as good as or better than 1-4. Looney very well could be one of them. Love his length.

Imagine Jazz defensively with him, Exum and Gobert.

According to Ford Johnson and Hezonja would still be available when Jazz picks. That would be an AMAZING situation if it were true.

I agree on combo forwards. Just not the same as a wing who plays 2/3 or a combo guard. Could Looney end up being like Marvin Williams, a decent player who never really found a home at either forward spot?

Are there some 5's in the 2nd round that we could draft to back up Gobert? Would Dakari be a decent choice? Is he worth trading up for if needed?

Eh...he'll dwarf Marvin. I think you can safely bank on him being a legit PF, with some hope of being a stretch PF. The SF talk is probably from his high school days when he was 6'8"

From a UCLA article
Looney's physical tools explain a lot of his rebounding success. He is 6 feet 9 with what teammates say is a 7-5 wingspan. (It was measured at 7-3 at the USA Basketball camp when he was 17.)

I am still saying looney can play some sf in the nba

So we draft another PF with comparable wing talent on the board? Sigh... it would be something we would do.

We'll be short a big if Kanter is traded. And Booker is only signed through next season. We could find that PF/C is our worst position in terms of depth just 2 years from now. Just draft BPA!
