Following potential 2017 draftees...

I think, in fairness, that Exum is creative enough with the ball. He still does very basic stuff, but even doing basic stuff he can be effective just due to his physical profile. He gets by defenders with his length alone.

I would take DJ Wilson ahead of Wagner. Wilson at least has some upside due to his athleticism, handle and shiftiness, even though he's not great at anything yet.

Bennie 'Buckets' Boatright has declared for the draft. Won't be signing an agent. Will be interested to hear what the other underclassman at USC do.

Exum looks like he can do anything, just seems overwhelmed by the moment all the time. The thing I think we all got wrong about Exum isn't his skills. The thing, in my opinion, that we got wrong is his killer instinct. I don't see it. He seems like a pretty normal 21 year old kid. That said, I think he'll be a decent player.

the one constant with Exum, even when he's playing well is that he doesn't create for teammates. February and March might have been the most productive two month stretch of his career and he averaged 1.5 assists.

It seems like posters want safe picks over BPA's these days.. I say go for the gusto. methinks that safe pick bs is often just guised instant gratification seeking.

I can't help but think of Dennis Lindsey talking about how older players often times are higher risk than younger ones.

U want an NBA ready PG this is him. Not Frank Mason.. He could be in play with that last 1st or if they're real lucky the first 2nd rd pick.

He's a Sr but the same age as Exum, born in the summer of '95.

Kentucky's Isaiah Briscoe will declare for the 2017 NBA Draft and sign with an agent, per release. #BBN

Luke Kennard is officially in. Hired an agent and all.

I honestly don't see him falling to anywhere in the 20's with how much of a premium is put on shooting in the league. I saw some people saying maybe we could get him with the GSW pick but I doubt he even make it to our first pick.

I don't know on him... he's really too small... not sure if I am sleeping on his athleticism but he seems deficient there too. Plenty of great shooting guys have failed.

If he had a little bigger wingspan I'd feel much better about him. I could see him falling or a team falling in love with his jumper and taking him too high.

Yeah, bad length and he isn't really that quick like a JJ Redick.

Same. I think he will probably be gone by our first pick. He shoots it too well from everywhere and can create a little bit. Too many teams need shooters. I had him to Indiana in the teens in my last mock.

I think he has a little better athleticism than people give him credit for but it's a fair point. My main point was something that you hit on. Some team will fall in love with his shooting and take him before either one of our picks.

I think Kennard is gonna be on the board and I think he's gonna be good. Cool Hand Luke is perfect for this Utah squad.

They can afford to have some non-defenders on the squad, look no further than Diaw or Iso Joe, so lets say 2.Kennard can occupy one of those spots (if I was running ****) anyday.

Like I said before he even got to Duke, I do think he's gonna be better than JJ Redick and I'm gonna stick with my guns.

I prefer Luke over Rashad Vaughn who I had top-20.

He represents very potent and reliable offense, I dunno how people wouldn't be head over heels for him in Utah, he's perfect, the defense is mostly in place, it's time to run it up. He's got upside and they can use him sparingly right away.

The last lefty SG they drafted from Duke turned out pretty well.. I'm damn sure Kennard is gonna be high on Utah's board.
