No, he is a much worse shooter, like a lot worse, than Brewer. His shot could, in theory, be fixed though. And Ronnie Brewer was at least on his level of passing. People forget Brewer played a lot of PG in college.
Brewer was super talented coming out of college. He just played a super specific role in Utah's system that he was great at. He could have done a lot more on ball if Sloan asked him too. His 3pt shot just couldn't translate to NBA distance. Dozier's might not either. The dude has some of the most inconsistent mechanics and misses you will see.
I'd say Sloan and Dwill maximized his talent pretty well. He was limited. His stint with Chicago was unmemorable and he was out of the league after 28.
